Tottenham  :Oo:

This is one of the best strikers in europe, we should be trying to sign people like this, today proved how much we rely on Torres and how poor Kuyt and Voronin are  :(

If he's available for 20million pound , Liverpool fc should got for it .
It is a very good price for a striker of his quality, but i doubt it .He's price could go up to 30mp.
If we can't sign him , i hope that we go and try for david silva , real quality player that could help spice up our wings.

Rumours are circulating that Liverpool's Rafa Benitez may be interested in making a £10m bid for Blackburn midfielder David Bentley (various), with the former Arsenal man also a target for La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

The 23-year-old England international is having a good season at Ewood Park and, much like fellow Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen, has been attracting a great deal of interest. However I don’t think this rumour holds up. Anfield has a great deal of quality in the areas Bentley plies his trade and I feel he won't easily be let go by Mark Hughes, who is looking to bring his side on from mid-table to UEFA Cup candidates.

Let Quaresma go to Chelsea. He's too in consistent im my opinion.

David Bentley for £10m is a good deal. I'd take him and Morten Gamst Pederson in a double swoop of £20m thanks.  :eyebrow

I've heard that David Albelda has agreed to join and will be a Liverpool player by the end of next week. Dunno what to make of that to be honest. It would certainly point to at least one departure in the central midfield area anyway, hopefully Sissoko.

Not sure how many defensive midfielders we need though. ???

I know it can't be trusted, but his wiki page links him in with Everton

Heard the same thing today but is that a bad sign does that mean Rafa is not confident well get Masher cause why would he even think of signing another holding midfielder  :(

bentley is good , but i don't think rafa will bid for him , firstly mark hughes is  not gonna let him go so easily , secondly the price will prove to be a staggering block given our current situation .

Someone pointed out earlier on the forum that £17m is a awful lot of money for Mascha. I would tend to agree with that and if we can find other (cheaper options) for players of a similar make up (from what I've heard Albelda is a v.good player) then we should look at these as options. If he (Albelda) is a Spain int'l then he's clearly a good player!!

How old is Albelda though... around 30 ???  Masch is still only 23 (right?!) and could be an essential player for us for years. Already one of the best holding midfielders around and with the potential to be the worlds very best in his position.
