And would that club, Liverpool of course give him such a hefty salary and signing on fee to compensate ?

Ronaldo just bought out his contract to move to Milan

Ronaldo? He already plays from Milan  ???

By just I meant in January. Sorry for the confusion  :p

From wiki:

On 18 January 2007 it was reported that Ronaldo has agreed terms with A.C. Milan for a transfer of about $7.8 million.[3] Ronaldo was forced to pay for the remaining period on his contract which tied him to Real Madrid, only because the latter did not accept to release him, while A.C. Milan were not ready to pay such a sum.

You've lost me, why are you posting about Ronaldo?  ???

Alessandro Mancini interest is over
Jul 16 2007 by Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo

RAFA BENITEZ today revealed Liverpool’s interest in Roma winger Alessandro Mancini is over, despite claims of a fresh bid from the player’s agent.

Liverpool did show an interest in the Brazilian earlier in the summer, but Benitez opted to sign Ryan Babel instead.

Now, with Mancini negotiating a new deal with the Italian side, his representative is claiming Benitez is still pursuing the 27-year-old.

But Benitez said today: “I was reading stories about Mancini. I can say that Liverpool will not be offering any money for this player.”

There are suspicions the player’s agent is using the Reds to improve terms at the Olympic Stadium.

Benitez and his 25-man squad arrived in Switzerland yesterday.

Youngster Jack Hobbs and Stephen Darby are among those included in the party, as well as all the recent recruits.

Fabio Aurelio is also with the squad and training again, although Benitez says he won’t be able to play for a month as he nears recovery from a ruptured Achilles.

Scott Carson, who enjoyed extra time off due to the Under-21 European Championships, is also back in training.

The manager hopes the documents to allow both Lucas Leiva and Sebastian Leto to feature in the pre-season games will arrive during the course of the week.

The Reds play their first Swiss game against Werder Bremen tomorrow

I've got a strong rumour of Coleman wanting Liverpool youth player Craig Linfield in the Spanish Segunda next season. The segunda division is likely to the english championship IMHO. It's a tougher division physically, in the sense that harder tackles are more allowed than in the primera division, an english player will come handy for that kind of toughness.

I don't know much of the lad from Wirral except a couple of highlights in youtube in his game against the manc youth. Do you think he'd ready right not for the Championship or the Premiership (or Liga for that matter) ?

Do you think he can be good enough for LFC in the future? what do you like of his game? Thank you!

I missed the translation request

It just says that Xabi Alonso drives Schuster crazy (he was quite Alonso-esque in his game btw) but that transfer would go beyond 40M €, the journo just speculates with the possibility that Rafa might be tempted to negotiate as he has the holding midfielder well covered by Mascherano and Sissoko.

Well, the journo doesn't seem to know that Rafa doesn't consider Sissoko a holding midfielder, and that we do not really own Mascherano yet (AFAICT). Simple speculation.

Watched Linfield in a couple of FA youth cup games last season Sabre, i think it wold be a good deal for linfield to go to sociedad on loan Sabre , but i don't know if it will be good for you.

I'll explain a little , Linfield looks like he's gonna be a typical goal poacher type, he will score goals of that i'm sure .

He needs to build himself up a bit to make himself stronger for the physical side of the league.

The reason i think it may not be good or you is that you need a man who will be strong and fight upfront with his back to goal aswell as score goals . Linfield is only learning his trade and i think you need a striker that is more or less the finished artical and who would help you for the fight to get out of segunda, Linfield will only be going over there to learn and i don't know if he would be up for a long fight to get promotion .

Just my opinion Sabre , hope it helps. :)

Would be more than happy to see this happen..... wouldn't bet on it though....

Rudolf would never let us to strengthen our squad using one of his players.... 1st one to move from the mancs to us in 40 years or something like that right?

No way he'd let it happen on his watch.....

Unless of course Heinze DOES buy out his own contract....

Heres hoping at any rate....

LIVERPOOL LINKED WITH CHIELLINI Posted 16/07/07

Liverpool are reportedly turning to Italian U-21 captain Giorgio Chiellini after failing to capture Gabriel Heinze.

Tuttosport claims that Liverpool have made a £5m bid for Juve's left-sided defender - who has been capped six times by the Italian senior squad. Chiellini was recently named in the UEFA Team of the tournament for the European Under-21 championships but is thought to be available for around £7m.

+++++++

Dont understand why Juve would want to sell the lad if he is any good?

i can confirm that talks did take place between the brazilian playmaker and fat sam.

Failed to capture the signing of Heinze? He's still a united player and no one has signed him yet  ???
