If Dossena and Degan are to be sold (which I expect), with Aurelio injured a lot and Insua a little inexperienced then I see the signing of Johnson as a sensible one. He could come in an Arbeloa move across to LB. We'd then have Carra as cover for both RB and LB if need be.

That would then leave 4 quality CB's fighting for 2 places.

We need competition for places and also plenty of cover if we are to challenge for the EPL, CL and FA Cup. Look at yesterday...we could potentially lose Xabi and Mascha for a while and we'll need Lucas etc in the coming weeks.

It is difficult to keep all players happy but I trust Rafa's judgement and management skills to keep everyone happy.

Heard rafa is going to buy a cane made out of pure gold which is worth 20 mill. He is going to shove it up keanes ar$ so just a reminder for the lad to show him how much his worth. Keane should score plenty now i hope..

Daily Telegraph reporting that, although he's signed a new deal at Pompey, he has a £10m buy out clause and Rafa is expected to come back in for him in the summer.

Looks like the Heskey move won't happen until the summer as well.

Anyway just a question on Glen Johnson. He signed a new contract which im sure would have featured a relegation release clause fee. If Portsmouth get relegated he will surley want to leave then. I hope Rafa makes a move for him if he does.
