A lot of speculation has been building over Darren Bent maybe comeing to liverpool. I honestly don't think he is good enough for us now and we should be aiming higher. How would you feel if we got this player.

Not even remotely good enough to be playing for us. If we want to win the league next season we need to sign better players than Bent.

It always worries me when we go for strikers from relegated teams, they tend to have gained their success from breakaways and beating the offside trap more than their ability to create openings (see Dean Saunders)We are a top club that teams tend to defend deep against , which makes it much more difficult to get the type of chances they are used to.

Decent player, probably not what we need.

In all the papers since the Charlton game they have said that Anfield could be Bents new home even Ian rush in the echo today said he could be the man to replace Robbie (No chance) The guy has been top dog at a small club for so long there is no way he will be able to handle the big stage

Bent is just as good as Bellamy,but a better finiisher and i dont think Bellamy is world class,and i Do think we need world class players to win the league next year,so no,he wouldn be first choice.

If we were looking for another striker to come in alongside a top quality striker then I'd say sure give him a go. As our main striker?? No way, I always think back to when he played for England (at Anfield I think) and he looked well out of his depth in a side that had more quality in it than he was used to playing with. I don't think he'd deliver when there is so much expextation like there would be playing for LFC. More of a Spurs type player IMO.
