haha yeah i have my moments...

but anyway, we do lack creativity in the final third. its obvious that we need a world class striker, not just any striker but a "poacher". I really dont think we need another striker who works better in build-up play. i.e David Villa.....even tho he is popular here, id rather spend money on someone who can finish off attacks all the time, and then get some creativie midfielders. We have Crouch and Kuyt as "supporting" strikers, now Voronin....ive seen quite a bit of villa play over last few months and i reckon he fits into that category aswell, even tho he is good...

now darren bent is a poacher, but nowhere near our level....he'll fit in fine at man city or somethin

saying hes not that good?

How much do you think he'd cost? £40m? More likely he'd go to Barcelona.

And I missed McCarthy although Bellamy did well for Blackburn so the alarm bells should be ringing there
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Why do Charlton think  Darren Bent is worth 15mil when Crouch is only worth 10mil. And he has been doing it at a top level (ie Champions Legue). Darren Bent has't even been to europe for his club. They have bouth scored the same amount of goals this season more or less. so why is he surposerdly worth more.

He would cost 20 to25mil if they would sell.

He's worth more because he's on the market and Crouch isn't. Supply and demand bearing in mind he's english.

"He's in the Caribbean at the moment and doesn't want to discuss anything until he gets back," an executive at the club told the Observer. "There's actually been no offers for him. But if we don't get the asking price he isn't going. We turned down £15million in January. And that was from a club outside the big four - Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. We had to turn that down then because we still had a chance of avoiding relegation."

All I can say is that they have to be kidding me.
I'd be disgusted if we forked up £15m+ for him.
A player from a championship team for that kind of money.

Never, I say.

They're probably trying to hype the price, who knows if they were offered £15m in January, who knows if the quotes are true anyway.

If it is true, then I find it difficult to see who would pay that kind of money for him, and I don't think they would get that type of money anyway.

For around £10m I could see it as an option if other targets doesn't come.

But if I am to believe that statement, no thanks.

Supposedly they were offered £15million by West Ham who saw it as a chance not only to strengthen their own team but weaken a team that was in the relegation fight. Thats why they were willing to pay over the odds.

I think West Ham probably did offer £15 mil.  They are crazy and payying stupid money and wages for players.

anything more than a 10mill offer from any club would be just crazy !
just because hes english...his price shoots up... his scoring record is good but nothing extraordinary !
to me...just a good player in an average team... they rely on him and he steps up more often than not... u never know what happen if he signs for a big club...dont think hed have that much of an impact though...

I have a funny feeling that we are going to sign him up , the same way we did with crouch and pennant..we had a tendency to sign players from the relegated clubs

I don't mind him joing the club for the lad can score goals but paying 15mp is too much , i would say aroud 10mp is enough..!!
