If they can bring in a top CB to partner Kompany and 2 top attacking players (Nasri, Sanchez ; assuming Teves is off), they would have a side that would be very very hard to stop regardless of the manager.

If anything, the lesson they learned from last season was that players like Barry, Milner, SWP, Lescott and Balotelli cant be relied on to consistently perform on the highest level and I doubt any of them will make their best starting 11 next season... Their main players were Kompany, Y.Toure, Silva and Tevez...

If they lose Tevez, they'll spend double they get for him to replace him... Expect Aguero and Sanchez at the very least..

Agree.  I'm hoping the clash of egos will continue and stunt their performance, otherwise we have another contender for the title.

Corinthians have put in a bid for 40 million Euros for Tevez.  If Tevez wants to go there then city should accept that.  It's a fair price, it keeps Tevez out of the prem, it keeps Tevez out of any potential teams that could face city in the championship, and Tevez would probably be happy playing there again.  If they fork out that much cash for him then I'm sure they'll pay him his £200,000/week salary.

I know he wants to spend more time with family but he should be playing in England or Spain for at least a few more years, what a waste of talent.

Samir Nasri and Aguero to replace Tevez ?

No wonder they dont seem too resistant to the idea of him leaving anymore...

I still have a bit of respect for him as I thought after all that being closer to my family speech that he would end up in Italy or Spain. But the guy is a straight up mercenary. Has he ever spent more than 2 years at any club? I never realized how much City paid for him, good on them in a way for not selling up until they got close to that fee back.

Telegraph:

Carlos Tevez's proposed £44m move to Corinthians becomes mired in chaos and confusion

Carlos Tévez seems set to end his career in the Premier League exactly as he spent it as his proposed £44 million move from Manchester City to Brazilian side Corinthians became mired in the sort of chaos and confusion the Argentine has wrought throughout his five years in England.  etc.. etc.. blash blah blah...

Tell us something we don`t know.....

sounds well dodgy because, as some have pointed out, Corinthians don't have the cash to buy him OR pay his wages.

Surely if Tevez was THAT unhappy, he would take a pay cut?  Apparently not

Good piece in the Times today. Corinthians couldn't put up the bank guarantees for the various installments for the fee so City basically pulled the plug. Unless they find the money Tevez will have to return to training.

if the aguero deal goes through that'll just be quarter of a billion spent on strikers alone in the last three years.

god i can't wait for the financial fair play rules to come in.
