Roy Hodgson new West Brom manager

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Sabre » Mon Jan 10, 2011 11:33 am

Probably a man of the club is the best option in moments like this, and hopefully no one will attack him the way Rafa or Hodgson were attacked. When the situation is dire, a man of the club is a very footballish thing to do, and the fans, pros and antis, must back the new man now, unlike the previous years.

And don't listen again to the Mancs when they talk about what's good for the club and what's now, because Hodgson certainly wasn't.

Seeing as the official Hodgson thread is still locked -

He has just been appointed WBA new manager.

We play WBA on April 2nd, a day after April Fools Day - how ironic.

I hope he does well with them and I expect him to... That level is probably closer to his comfort zone and if he can do at WBA anywhere near as well as he's done for Fulham then it's gotta be a good appointment for them..

Thats what i was thinking.

Although i am sure they would happily give that up if it means they stay in the premiership.

Average manager managing a smaller club. West Brom have got themselves a top man in Hodgson.

I think its funny

Liverpool to West Brom - least he knows his level
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I think Roy will do well there.  He's a good guy and a decent manager when it comes to managing those smaller clubs.  The players he bought for us for not that much would be good for teams like West Brom.  Imagine what Meireles could do for West Brom :O
