???  wow.

he's had bust ups with the owners before. i reckon the owners have told him there's no money for transfers and if milner gets sold, he'll see none / very little of it!

Blimey, didn't see that coming.

Obviously he disagrees with the inevitable Milner sale.

Aston Villa alongside Blackpool are the only premier league clubs not to sign ANY players this summer.

(Villa didn't buy anyone in January either, desite selling Gardener for £3m)

They've spent more than we have in recent years, so I suspect they're having to cut back a bit and he wasn't happy with that.

It has to do with the Milner saga.

they haven't spent more than us though. Aquilani and Keane alone cost more then they've spent in the last 2 years. And they've also never been able to buy a player for more than £12m. I aint defending him like but still, i think i can see where he's coming from

On the rattle they are saying Lerner has agreed to seel Ashley Young to Spurs, and MON was told he wont be seeing much of the money from the Milner sale.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I agree with redman, the owners wouldn't back him as much as he wanted in the transfer, the Milner case was the last straw for him when he knew that he wouldn't get the money for it.

Didn't he say something about walking if Ashley Young was sold?

Spurs were supposed to have been sniffing around..............

Ciggy, I don't know, but I think Aston Villa has worse owners than ours!
