Well he did criticize the board a quite bit before, the same with Enrique.

Now Joey Barton turned into a new age philosopher lol

Funny some if his comments though and it's good to see a footballer with some balls.

Dont get me wrong, some of the things he has done in the past has shown him for a horrible get. However, he has paid his dues, got his head down and has done fantastic for Newcastle in getting them promoted and keeping them in the premiership.

His attitude has changed a lot, it would appear he has grown up, which I am guessing is what was asked of him. I think Newcastle are making a daft mistake letting him go for nothing.

100% Agree.

He had a great season for them last year.  If we were looking for a CM I'd be begging for us to sign him, but I think he's still banned from the city of Liverpool  :p

He's changed a lot and done a lot for Newcastle in the last 2 season.  Really grown up and shown a change in attitude.

Ashley is a horrible owner who jumps to conclusions for too often.

Why do we need him? We have Lucas.

Think we should be aiming a bit higher tbh.

Barton is more of a Meireles type player, box-to-box type.  He can get back in defend, but he's much more useful in the attack.  Gets a pretty good amount of assists each season and a few goals.  His set pieces are really dead on and he can put some great passes into the box.

We don't need him, but in all honesty I wouldn't mind getting him.

Joey Barton is said to be delighted at the prospect of leaving Newcastle for nothing as its the first time he'll be released without charge!!
