its by no coincidence that Newcastle are playing at a different level since they sold Carroll, as are we having bought him.

What they have done is bought better than what they sold. The direct hoofball days of the last few seasons with Nolan launching diagonal balls upfield to Carroll have given way to a possession based method with Yohan Cabaye, Demba Ba and Papiss Demba Cisse. The play is much more deliberate, incisive, less chance, so credit to Pardew for taking Newcastle up a level. They can go 11 points clear of us which is staggering.

to be fair to newcastle they have done a terrific job, after losing barton, nolan, enrique and carroll who were the backbone of their side most people had them as one of the favourites to go down, then they lost a popular manager in chris hughton who was very unlucky to lose his job and considering the storm when pardew first arrived and all the talk of the dressing room being up in arms overs hughton`s dismissal they have done really well to be where they are.

They were a midtable team with Carroll, Nolan and co (although they were relegated with these players in 2009).. so when they left there was a belief that they wouldnt finish 12th again... but fair play to them, having exploited us they went out and bought better players and they are now close to the level they were at five or six years ago. Watched them last week at West Brom and they look a different team to the last few seasons.

They deserve medals and Pardew should get manager of the year for selling us the worst player in the history of the world.

Never mind the petrol, Andy Carroll is a prime example of what panic buying can do to you...

I see Kenny and the club have already set up the excuses for another sh'ite performance 'He's nervous about his reception'. Grow up FFS, why cant he saay he cant wait to go back and show the geordies what he can do? Why do we always have to be negative and protective?   Pathetic.

hmm I wonder if the newcastle fans were as nervous of a new manager as we are, bet they are happy enough now.  :)

He should receive a thunderous round of applause from the geordies (if he makes a rare start). His sale has allowed them to bring in a better replacement, play a better style, and become a better team.

Its very different to us and Torres.

They should build a statue to the sh'ittest ever player in their history who made them the most money.
What do you think should be written underneath?
Please try to be imaginative

Kenny has got a major dilemma...   should he start Carroll against Newcastle or enter him in the Grand National.
