Particularly if we are still involved in the Europa League Cup, I think the game might be a good chance for a bit of rotation. Beating Chelsea and handing the title to the Mancs would be daft IMHO.

Agreed - Chelsea for me - can't stand those Mancs gloating at no:19 - would make this season even worse - if that can be possible

I for one don't grasp this "only care what Liverpool do"

So you go through the season never craving the Mancs get thumped
in the big games?

Liverpool and the Mancs are the only teams in the League that have ever had near
total domination in recent history.

Seeing them overtake us and Fergie riding off into a glorious sunset called retirement....nah absolute makes me sick to the stomach...don't tell me it doesn't affect you...?

If it doesn't then IMHO you haven't fully grasped the import of them getting ahead of us.

We may never catch them as things stand.

So lose to Chelsea? Heck, I'd tell Reina to get forward at every opportunity ...

My mate has a spare ticket for this one and asked if I wanted to go but i've turned him down because I don't think I can bare to be at a game where us winning could actually gift them the title. Winning should never be bitter-sweet but this would be. My only consolation to this almighty clusterf..u...c...k...u...p of a season will be if the mancs fail to win anything of note. It's the only glimmer of hope left and i'm clinging to it like a sad bitter t..w..a..t!!!!!!

You listen to how quiet Anfield is on gameday!

Can you imagine it? Looking back at this season, the bad luck we have had (beachball, poor refs) the injuries (Torres, Gerrard, Aquilani, Johnson) and the lack of quality replacements (Ngog, Lucas, Babel) how much fun would it be to top it all off by gifting united no.19 at anfield.

League wise, its done. If it means costing us the UEFA cup then so be it, we can then concentrate on the league and have less games to play for risking injuries. A victory against chelsea to hand them scummy b@stards the league would top of a nightmare season. No thanks, a 1-0 loss will do.

Sorry Igor, normally yes. But this year is very different. I dont want them getting four in a row and i certainly dont want them to get no: 19 because we helped them!

Its looking like 4th has gone, so i for one, would prefer Chelsea to win and so that lot cant win nothing. I mean, Fergie's demeanor would be great to see. I mean, we get Europa cup and they get league cup. I know which one id like to win.

Like it or not, it still is a very good cup to win.

So for rafa, i hope he plays the kids and rests the boys for 2nd leg.

Oh and stick yer Norwich scarves up yer :censored:. We'll get new rich owners and your stuck with your leveraged tits.  :D

ask your self what would the mancs do if the situation was reversed? yep, if we've nothing to play for then field a weakened team and pray they dont knock 8 past us. 1-0 L  would be bearable. just about.

Fergie will complain though to the authorities and we will end up with a fine.

As much as i dislike Chelsea nothing comes close to the absolute despise i have for United they're fans they're manager and they're team. When i saw this thread i made my dessicion in a second without hesitation. Let Chelsea win it. The look on Fergies face will be the only comfort i can take from this season. Those :censored: had an email of Liverpool FC end of season party in November. It would be nice if they end up with nothing and we end up lifting a European cup. I say rest the whole first team against Chelsea.

Also looking at it from another view. If we don't win the Europa cup and we don't even qualify for Europa League football next year surely Dick and dom would have to reduce the price of the club making us a much more attractive.

Its not a nice position to be in at all. But i would rather lose the game than united winning the league.
If there is anything riding on the game then obviously go all out to win.
if not feck united and field a weakened team.

totally agree - help chelsea win the league and help us get rid of those 2 bickering yank idiots.

want to hear the :censored: that comes out of fergie and gary nevilles mouth if we play a weak team. They probably moan and the FA sucking up to fergie as they do will fine us. But it will be worth every penny

Come on Chelsea (didn't think i'd ever be saying that)

4th spot is gone and I don't care about the silly euro tournament we are in or whether we qualify for it next year.

I hope we don't try and lose 6-0 giving the title to Chelsea and then the players all start laughing at full time.

Fans see it different but the club will remain professional and compete hard in the Chelsea game. I dont like it but unfortunately the integrity of the league and the game has to and will be upheld by Liverpool FC, even at their own expense historically. I doubt it will win us any favour in Manchester though or spare us the jibes because they dont have enough class for that.
