Liverpool v Chelsea

could be a strange day as it could be the day we take the 4th spot..........but would you give up the 4th spot if it meant that in that a Chelsea win would mean stopping Man U from beating our record!!!

hmm, no poll. Does that mean we measure the hate according to who can type the most swear words and general offensive anti-manc bollox into one post to see who hates them most?

LANDO!! :D

If the scenario you outlined happen we win and we do it because its what WE need, :censored: what they want and need, we are Liverpool no them. We look at out clubs needs first and everyone else second, we should never concern ourself with whats heppening at thier club

Even if we chucked it we're just delaying the inevitable for another season anyway - we aint gonna catch them are we?

Both are bad, I'd rather dont have any of them.According to me there is a best case scenario, a worst case scenario and a... compromise :D.

The best case scenario is: We get 4th place, we win Europa Cup, and United doesnt get the title, so we'll even have a better season then them :D.
The worst case scenario is:We dont get fourth, we dont win Europa Cup, and United beats our record.Sounds bad doesnt it?
And the compromise:We get fourth, we get Europa Cup but United gets the Premier League titel and they beat our record + be the first to have 4 titels in a row (as far as I know :)).

Which do you think that will probably happen?

TBH I don't think it will come to that, we need Villa,Spurs and Man city to all drop alot of points with games in hand.Even if it come to that I think I would rather Chelsea win cos I couldn't bear seeing Taggarts face and the f*cking little inbred Neville celebrating the 19th title and I think it could actually be a blessing in disguise as the yanks won't get anymore money forcing them to sell.

Ive been thinking about this actually

At the end of the day its what we need, if we can get fourth and get some Champions League football and if it means United winning the league then so be it. We have to worry about ourselves not anyone else

I cheered for Blackburn against us in 1995, I think I swore at John Barnes when he scored.

But us getting 4th is more important than who wins the league.

snap 1995.

anyway i dont think we will be in with a shot of 4th by the time we play them. if that is the caes then and they can still beat Man U to it then we should put out a very weak team (not the waek team we put out every week but a youth team) give them a good game and then stick a own goal in at the end just to :censored: Man U off as much as we can.

Don't care who we're playing against, but never once have I cheered or wished for the other team to beat us in spite of them. And I never will. F*ck United and f*ck Chelsea. I don't care what they do. Don't care if United overtake our record. Records don't last forever. Anyway, the game against Chelsea is more or less rendered a bit of a pointless game now after today's result, but it's not Chelsea that United should be worried about. It's Arsenal.

I don't know your age but if you remember 1995, would you prefer Kenny to win another league or Manure to win. Obviously it worked out perfectly but we didn't know that at the time.

I'm cheering for Arsenal in the league (good football and less dikkheads)

Liverpool vs 'big four rivals' : P5 W1 D0 L4 (Won 20.00%)

That said we did beat the mancs at home, lost all three away from home and compare that to last season when we were unbeaten in the same set and the only dropped points were draws against Arsenal.

Chelsea look more than capable of giftwrapping the league for the mancs, not winning at EP yesterday was a bodyblow. Arsenal might have the best shot of stopping the mancs, they've played their toughest games and only their very own self-destruct can stop them. Chelsea have us and the mancs, the mancs have the derby don't they?

As for us, I said 6-7 wins out of the last eight would put us in with a shot of finishing 4th and I think that may still be true. That will take some doing out of seven games, but the others have to play tougher games while I think we've got just Chelsea at home of the top seven, although there's no certainty of us winning the rest given we've lost at pompey, Wigan and games like that.

If it GUARANTEED the mancs wouldn't win the league I'd happily not turn up and give Chelsea three points, but I doubt it is that simple.
