I agree that *you* or Nanny haven't said it's the mods fault, and the gist of your post, mate.

But this thread is about newkit politics, and part of the strike idea aswell. And it's indeed about time to forget those unimportant newkit politics and face the real problem.

And the real problem is the one you highlight in the last post, our contribution to the forum. Mine, yours, everybody.

Why Bad Bob used to post things like these

http://www.liverpoolfc-newkit.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=26797&start=60

And now he doesn't do it any more. Is it because no one bothers to reply the football written in those posts?, is it because instead of saying thank you posters like me or Dawson are talking about stupid newkit politics?

Let's get back to football posting, and for that it's important that some of the posters that are taking a rest come back.

Sabre is right. As of course are a few others.

It is time this thread was allowed to decompose itself and fade away into the memories of lessons learnt.  It can stay open for the remainder of today, then it will be closed. We will move on.

It is up to ALL of us - to work together on this and keep the forum's welfare in good shape.

Peace.

ok, so from now on all cards and bans to known members will be posted in the thread? Just to keep things a little more open.
and mods who disagree with the so called antis won't take things personally?

and the mods know that they can ask opinions of us lower mortals as well in case things do seem biased?

Sounds good to me

as long as everything is transparent and proper reasons are given for cards then I'm happy.

Posted on behalf of Bigmick who has had his posting rights removed:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>&g
t;>>>>>>>>
Firstly I never went on any "strike". I stopped posting a couple of months back. I only returned a couple of weeks ago to start a thread asking if it was right that S@int and Ace had been banned. I've got this vague and unexplained feeling that if Phil is watching from upstairs he'd want the forum to keep going in a healthy and vibrant format. As many have said, this applies regardless of who is actually posting at the time (the forum will survive in one form or another in any case), but to survive properly conflicting opinions have to be allowed to be voiced at the very least.

Now my break with the forum came about as a result of a card I recieved which I felt at the time gave me the perfect excuse to feck off into the sunset (which I had long been contemplating anyway). Somebody started a Rafa support thread (I can't find it, its probably been merged with something to which it doesn't relate) and I had the temerity to suggest it was understandable that some people were losing faith. I concluded the two line post with something along the lines of it being important now we were on a bit of a run to try and build on it. There were no swearwords, no attacks, nothing offensive in any way. Nevetheless I was carded and warned about my future conduct. A couple of posts after mine, a mod wartned all posters that if anybody else dared to post anything at all in that particular thread which could be considered anti in any sense whatsoever, they were going to be banned. I didn't question the decision by pm or otherwise, I simply toddled off into the sunset contented that I had had some great times on newkit, and that although it was now over the forum certainly didn't owe me anything. There were no pm's exchanged with any mods, none. I was relatively happy with the outcome. Obviously a ridiculous abuse of the card system, but time for someone else to take over the mantle of forum boring tw@t and for me to find something else to do.

Anyway I bobbed by now and then to get news, see how everyone was getting on, see if my stalker had forgotten me etc etc and noticed the other bannings and the prelude to them. I started a thread in general chat broadly asking why people weren't protesting at the forum being ruined before their eyes. Banning people such as S@int is obviously detrimental to every aspect of the place, be it from a football debate sense, a sense of fun, research into football club matters etc etc. Where were the other mods I asked? The thread lasted about about four minutes before it was swiftly deleted (not locked, deleted). I started another one where I talked about the weather, a kind of double entendre angle and that was deleted as well. Suspecting I knew what was coming, I went even more vague and talked about the wind. I began to recieve pm's off a certain mod, to which I replied in kind. At no point whatsoeer in the course of those pm's was I rude, I didn't swear, I actually asked the mod why he didn't just talk on the open forum as I'm no big fan of pm's. I kept copies of pm's sent and recieved, and have sent copies to those who have requested it. I haven't altered the pm's (I'm not sure I could do it even if I wanted to) and I am absolutely convinced I was banned as some part of a silly vendetta.

That's OK though in itself, I mention it only because some members have gone with the "but none of us know what happened behind the scenes" angle. I repeat, in my case nothing happened behind the scenes at any time.

But of course it's nothing to do with my views on the manager conflicting with a particular mod. Nothing at all. No sooner had i been banned but another poster quoted one of my posts in the Aquilani thread I think, his opening line was "Now then c.unt". He wasn't either carded or banned  It beggars belief it really does.

The forum will survive without me no bother. It will also survive without S@int, but the simple fact of the matter is that without blokes like him it isn't as good. Hopefully now the powers that be (and indeed some posters) have seen some kind of sense, and perhaps people liek S@int and Ace will come back. At least that way when I pop by to read the forum, there'll be actually some debate worth reading. Surely that's not too much to ask.d post this for us in the "I hope eeryone is happy now" thread. I've just tried to and my "posting rights hae been removed".

Neither does it make reference to pedantic tw@ts, or the state of Gordon Brown's bathroom cabinet. But here and there...you will find one or two clues as to how things (should) transpire.

Anyway - as you were, for a bit. The effort must come from everybody - not just the 'f*cking mods*

Your getting f'ucking tiresome now mate.

As one of those mods that looks stupider than I actually am I can only say Ihave no idea why Big Mick is unable to post.

His red card has been rescinded and he should be enjoying full privileges, I can only assume there has perhaps been an admin error that has not restored posting rights. I have sent a pm to SS asking for clarification on Big Micks staus.
