would hate to see mascha leave. he is quality and cant be replaced.

a lot of names flying around this thread like bring in parker and pavluchenko who are available to leave there clubs.these are average players and if added to our current squad we will be no more than an average club unable to compete with the top 4 and struggle to make europe at all.
by then what hope would we have attracting big names back to the club?
surely we should be looking to get rid of the :censored: rather than add to it!!!.
anyway did parker not turn us down before?? and pav hasnt been able to get a game for spurs for quite some time now!!!.
imo keep masch and flog doss, voronin, babel, kuyt, deggen, the greek llama, lucas and spearing.half of these dont play and the other half have run out of time to raise there game above average.
average players = an average club!!!! :(

Only way I'd sell him if the transfer rumour of Masch > Barca for £15m plus Bushquets, Pedro and Bojan. All young quality players obviously. Don't see Pep doing that so stay please.

Yeah but didn't Pep buy Ibrahimovic for 35-40 million cash plus Eto'o (permanent) and Hleb (loan) going the other way!

Oh just to confirm though I haven't changed my mind I want Masch to stay.

Just making the point that Barca have done one of the most craziest deals already in the past IMO

don't think you can call parker average, a lot of people would argue he's as good as mascherano and i've never heard of an 'average' player captaining argentina

Nearly, he did pay silly money +Eto for Ibrahimovic but the deal did not include a loan for Hleb. He went back to Germany to Stuttgart i think.

There is not a chance in the worls we would get 15 million plus those 3 players for Masher.
Or do you mean 1 of the 3 ?

Parker's not average but he's still not Mascharano. Masch plays well for Liverpool so why take a chance replacing him for someone who may not.

We need to ship out players that aren't performing and bring in additonal players in positions we're weak in - wingers, strikers, and RB initally then maybe LB, CB and midfield :)

You dont sell your best players to gamble with 2 or 3 players that are probably unlikely to be good enough.
Parker is a decent steady eddie that would do ok as an option, but not in the same bracket as Mascherano.

I thought most fans were saying in the past that instead of the manager signing a few 6-8 million pound players he should buy 1 really good player with that type of money, like Mascherano and Torres etc ?

Yes the squad is weak in areas but lets not sell one of the key players (IMO) just to possibly do our usual gamble.

Anyone with with Maxi coming that might settle Masch a bit into signing a new contract? I hope so.

Hmm, that's a nice little angle there.  Not sure how much weight it would carry, but it couldn't hurt.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Won't leave a whole lot
