I dont appreciate your reading of sarcasm!

Know the way it was set in S Africa and at first he was bad to the Aliens then he was their mate at the end......Pity he had to become one to see their ways.......Ya cant really do that in real life!

i think its pretty sh!te until the hardcore sci-fi action stuff kicks in. it tries and fails to be a documentary format at the beginning and its only when jackson starts doing what he does best that it becomes enjoyable. some of the ideas when it starts going bonkers are just.... bonkers, and the last hour is brilliant stuff.

I liked the documentary bits...it made me wonder what was going on!Then bang,it all happens...great show!

I know guys in work that walked out after 15 minutes in the cinema saying it was pure kack..worst film ever and all that.

:no only idiots with no brain could not appreciate that.

Think I'll finally check out Avatar tonight.  Curious to see what all the hype's about...

Verdict: meh.  The visuals were cool in parts but 160 minutes is a long time to sit through the 3-D--it's physically taxing and the more kinetic moments of the action gave me the same frustrations as most shaky-cam movies.  This whole thing about being completely immersed in a movie is overhyped, IMO.  I'd rather sit back from it a bit and be able to see what the feck's going on, rather than being tossed around in the middle of it all.

As for the story line, I enjoyed it a hell of a lot better the first time it came out, when it was called Dances With Wolves.  :;):

Watched the remake of The Firm   but not a patch on the original with Gary Oldham ,some funny scenes though  :D

going to watch "invictus" on friday. really looking forward to it, not only because i'm a rughy nut and remember the 95 world cup like it was yesterday, but because i love morgan freeman as an actor. be interesting to see if his portrayal of mandela.
