Aqualani is just not good enough to replace Alonso....if fact i doubt if he is good enough to lace his boots?. A panic buy by the great Rafa, thats why i wouln't give Rafa 20p to spend never mind £20 mill. :no

I honestly reckon him and Masch are gonn be good when they eventually play together. even then it will take TIME and PATIENCE for it to gel. But i suppose sopmeone like you will think 1 game is enough to draw a decent conclusion.

I think we need to buy a CM and take him out of the firing line, use him as a sub in the advance position and let him find his feet in English football. No doubt I'll get shot down in flames for mentioning this guy again but Rafa should go out and buy Scotty Parker!!

IF we could keep Masher, get him in the right state of mind, I'd have al ot of hope for Aquilani, but he cant play the centre with Stevie, and it wont work with anyone else we got at the moment...

Looks like Aquaman will get to play in an advanced role now that Gerrard, Yossi and Torres are all out for the next few weeks.

You can see that and understand that that immediately does not make him 'worse than Lucas' or 'rafas worst buy'. its like me coming on here and saying Torres cant man mark and clear a corner so hes sh!t

Im all up for dicussing the lad and pointing out his frailties but saying some of the stuff above gets us nowhere

maybe the metaphor is slightly OTT but right now everything's in a massive mess, things look a little bleak. Just hoping it ends sooner rather than later.

I feel as though lots of people are judging him very unfairly. Lots of people saying he is a waste of £20 Million, he is sh!t etc etc

Well I an convinced that he will come good for us. 100%.

You can just tell by the way he moves and passes the ball that he has something in him. The same sorta thing that is in players like Gerrard, Lampard, Alonso. Im not saying he is as good as them of course but I think he can be compared to them.

Just have patience and give him support.

At times on Wednesday he reminded me a bit of Luis Garcia, not in overall player type but some of those frustrating little backheels, flicks etc that didn't come off and running into traffic
