red, we're just looking at strikers the big teams have had and lost in the last 5-6 years, an experiment, theres snow everywhere, we got nothing else to do

we could possibly include frazier campbell for untied?

Im just looking at players there at the time, dont have to be brought in that time... its confuddling tho and i admit they have a few as well

what about Kewell then?

Ok ok we'll leave it at there . The point i'm trying to make is Rafa has bought a sheload of players and sold them on . But if you look at the others .They won't be that far behind i'm sure .

Or in otherwords, buying commodities to sell. Spend money to make more money.

but most of ours only seem to stay for 6 months then they're gone, and they are on the whole quite expensive players. its disruption to the team is what im talking about.

look at the others, they have kept a couple of strikers at least for the past 5 years almost... we're lucky to keep one for 5 months (torres excluded)

Wasn't it only Keane that came in, and went straight back out in the same season? We had the rest for at least a season or more.

just doesnt seem like it. its probably just in my head but i see the likes of bellamy et al all just coming briefly then going. we dont make any money and we spend a load in wages. meanwhile players like drogba, van persie,m fab, rooney or whoever get to gel with the same partners... thats what is costing us

At the end of the day the final ultimate truth is that we are underperforming as a team and we have won NOTHING for 3 years with the team that Rafa built. If we were winning cups and titles no one would give a toss about the flops or the money he has wasted, but we are not and so we do.  Every mistake he makes costs us points and he just makes too many mistakes.

There is no one who can argue that with the players he has had and still has, that best we can hope for is 7th in the table.........with or without fecking money.

Yeah, well, Keane was the only one. Bellamy was there for a season and got shipped out the next, but then again, when you're cracking defenders over the head with a gulf club, you expect that.

TBH, for Torres to have a partner, it would take a bit of finding to get him the perfect partner up front. Gerrard proved he was one of the few good enough, but then again, how much would it cost to buy a player like Gerrard to sit and play up front with Torres? There would be only a handful of players in the world that would compliment the Spaniard. The likes of Crouch, Bellamy, Voronin etc etc, certainly were not up to snuff. A back-up, maybe? Partner, no.

I don't believe you are saying the best we can hope for is 7th in the table.

Answer me this: you say you've lost faith in the manager, and this is fair enough. But you also say that with another manager, we still have the team to be competing? OK. So you are saying you lost faith in thhe manager, but not his team?

I believe that we are underperforming and that it is mostly up to the players to sort this out. Gerrard made a statement of it, and who are we to argue with that? I believe we can turn a corner and do a lot better than what we currently are. I still have faith in this team, and as such I still have faith in the manager. This side is better than 7th in the table and they will prove that.

i think s@ints saying that the team has lost faith in the manager, maybe the tactics, maybe the subs (never before 60 mins still!!!!) but how can we be so awesome against the mancs and so awful everywhere else? theres more to it than it being the whole team not playing well

I believe we have the players to be challenging for the league...... just not the manager to accomplish it. We need someone to give the players confidence in their ability and mold them into a team that fights for every point rather than a team who's heads drop at the first setback.

For too long now we have accepted second best and now people no longer even believe we have the players :no  ...... our "next season we will win the league" has become as much a joke as "this time next year we will be millionaires".

Our blips become bliiiiips our players loss of form lasts too long and we need inspiration not persperation. We need fresh impetus, and the cheapest easiest solution is to bring in a manager who can get the best out of the players we have rather than moaning about the players we might have had if only he had another couple of hundred million.
