I think we outplayed them but not getting a goal may cost us.  I don't like how Torres looks right now, Aquilani is inconsistent to say the least sometimes he looks good then goes off and dissapears for a few minutes.  Lucas and Gerrard are both playing well Kuyt is doing ok.

We looked dangerous but our finishing isn't up to par with our build up right now.

All round the fields of Anfield Road

Conditions are tough and lads came out fighting but still very poor ball control which kills are attempt to build pressure or develope any real chances.

Johnson and Aquaman are losing balls all over the place and seeing Kuyt trying to control one is painfull ,but looks we might net one.

I think Aqualani has done well considering the conditions and lack of games/match fitness. He moves well and looks like he reads the game well. Its just gonna take him some time to adapt to the pace  which is a lot quicker than what he is used to and I think he'll be a good un!
FFS Rafa keep playing him and ledt the lad find his feet!

Also NEVER play Masch and Lucas together in MF again....its of no coincidence that we won at the weekend and are looking a better side tonight when we dont have two defensive midfielders...Never again!

I thought we edged it. Villa had a couple of good spells but I thought we were slightly the more dangerous side.
