How nice is it to say that. And it's true. Much better performance.

Clear penalty for Kuyt.

Our defense of set plays in still poor. We left Downing completely unmarked for a corner and in the next corner did exactly the same again. Seriously? How have we not sorted these issues out yet? Similarly we don't make enough of our own free kicks and corners, we just don't have enough players who are good headers of the ball.

My other concern is there's a high risk of Lucas picking up a second yellow in these conditions. He's played well, broke up a lot of play but I can see him walking. I'd be tempted to play Pacheco early if he's sliding into tackles. The problem with that is that he won't hold as well and I'm sure Rafa plans to sub Aquilani, who still looks off the pace, at around the 65min mark.

55-45% to us first half I reckon, so with a bit of luck we can win this.

Thought it was a decent first half, with this type of conditions its really hard to keep the ball.

Kuyt has been our really weak link, he is constantly losing the ball.

Best Players till now are Gerrard, Carragher and Agger

Zidane wrote:And I agree on Johnson, his confidence has to be shot or something players used to fear him coming down the right now they just attack him instead.  He looks unsure of himself a lot of the time now.

When a team is struggling every player suffers. But when besides that a team concedes many goals in set pieces, some positions like Johnsons' are conditioned. You have more doubts to concede a corner or a foul, you doubt everything.

What Johnson needs is the same Liverpool needs, points and confidence, but yet a little bit more dosis of it.

He's a great signing for Liverpool.

whats wrong with Pepe?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
