The FA Cup is still a massive trophy and regarded as the biggest and most famous domestic club trophy in the world - it is a major trophy .

Right ok.......

Positives

Made the greatest signing any manager has made for us in 20 years maybe more bringing us Torres.
Clearly loves the club, the fans and the city etc.
Won us the european cup, i honestly couldnt have ever imagined that happening again in my lifetime, i thought we were miles from that level.
And he done it with a squad that virtually everyone would concede was by far the weakest of our european cup winning sides.
He then won us the FA cup and knocked out both united and chelsea on the way to doing it.
Rafa has not only restored our european pride, he has made us one of the favourites for the trophy each year since he arrived.

Negatives

The stubborness or lack of willingness to change and adapt to things.
Be it substitutions in a match, rotation in the first 3 seasons or the formation that we are currently adopting when its clearly not working.
The constant major squad reshuffes season after season, i know his hands are tied with finances to an extent but if you bring in 6-7 players every season and sell the same the squad just doesnt gel.
Thats probably why it takes us until the second half of the season to kick in, the players are probably settled by then.
The Robbie Keane fiasco, decent enough player and when you sell Crouch and buy Keane and pay all that money you should do all you can to make it work.
I dont think he did at all and it has left the squad ridiculously weak in attack.

Hand on heart i think he has had his day, i have said it before that this season is reminding me of geds last one, and it is.
The confidence has totally gone from the players and its time for a change imo.

The only thing is with these owners who would come here ?
Surely talk of Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink type names are pipe dreams with the current set up.
It leaves me at my most disallusioned i have ever been

Positives : Loves the club and knows that its the fans who make it special
Refuses to bow to the tidal wave of animosity he is subjected to throughout the media
He is by no means remotely Portuguese
He acts with dignity and decorum synonymous with all Liverpool managers
Can be tactically superb when it matters
Loathes the owners equally as much as we do

Negatives Hasnt appeared in any adverts promoting Sky television or Barclaycard
Has never managed Porto, or run up and down the touchline at Old Trafford
Never at any time wore a stylish long coat
His name is in no way portuguese
Has never once proclaimed himself the special one

Did the naughty man make a point you didnt agree with?

If Rafa wouldnt have done those three things he wouldnt be the manager today. It is both a blessing and a curse that he has had those successes (even though he fu'cked the second milan game up) because it gave him almost total power. This means that he has done virtually what he wanted without resistance or question.
If we were winning it would be a positive.
