You do kind of get a feel for these people after a while. Evertonians behave different from Mancs when they come on, they're overall more knowledgeable about the game I think.

Of course, after all they follow LFC almost as close as we do don't they, the sad pathetic bitter gits.  :D

Liverpool fans relax, history says the Reds can lose another five games and still lift the Premier League crown

By Tom Bellwood
Last updated at 2:45 PM on 26th August 2009
Liverpool have made a shocking start to the Barclays Premier League season -losing two of their opening three games - but midfielder Yossi Benayoun is rightly staying positive.
An opening day defeat to Spurs and the home reversal to Aston Villa have cast doubt over Rafa Benitez's ability to improve on last season's second-place finish. But history shows that Premier League champions can lose up to seven matches and still lift the title.

But Benayoun believes that the poor start will not hinder his side's push for their first league title in 20 years - as long as the Reds do not lose any more matches.
Still in the running: Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun takes on the Stoke City defence at Anfield
He said: 'Maybe we cannot lose any more games until the end of the season but we believe we are strong enough to be there at the end.'
And, he may have a point ...

Liverpool can take heart from bitter rivals Manchester United, who won their first Premier league title in 1993 despite losing two of their opening four games and suffering six defeats during the campaign.

Blackburn endured seven losses in their championship-winning season of 1994-95 but didn't suffer their first defeat until October.
And United went endured the first of their six defeats in the opening fixture away at Villa defeats in the successful campaign of 1995-96.
No side has ever won the Premier League with two defeats all season - the most common number in the 'games lost' column is five and the least is, of course, zero - the figure achieved by Arsenals' 'Invincibles' of 2003-04.
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS AND THEIR DEFEATS
1992-93 - Man Utd - Six defeats

1993-94 - Man Utd - Four defeats

1994-95 - Blackburn - Seven defeats

1995-96 - Man Utd - Six defeats

1996-97 - Man Utd  - Five defeats

1997-98 - Arsenal - Six defeats

1998-99 - Man Utd - Three defeats

1999-00 - Man Utd - Three defeats
2000-01 - Man Utd - Six defeats

Even after two defeats in our opening thre games we have only dropped one point from what we gained in the 3 corresponding games last season ...... so all is not lost.......... yet!

Last season
1 point v stoke
0 points v spurs
3 points v villa

total 4 points

This season

0 points v spurs
3 points v stoke
0 points v villa

Total 3 points

Good point but the problem seems to be in the overall performances of the players maybe even the mentality. If we had played well in those games and lost through lucky goals I wouldn't mind. But we look like we are not interested at the moment, even our best players look like their focus is on something else.

Also not trying to drag a rumor into this thread but Rafas mind could be on other things if rumors are to be believed.

I think we fkd up in preseason mate. We let our Spanish players have extra time off and were unlucky with injuries as well, so a lot of players didn't get a full preseason in, and I think this has shown. On top of which I don't think that because of the problems with the squad enough emphasis was placed on getting good performances (and results) in preseason.

Too many games became more about playing as many players as possible rather than playing our best team.
