Would love to see another attacking option! Now that all 3 CB seem fit hopefully we can ease Kelly into the squad so we don't need another CB. As for the attacking player who will be back up i wonder who it will be.

Liverpool's Alberto Aquilani: Roma's Doctors 'Didn't Do Me Any Favours'
The midfielder is much happier with the way his physical problems are being handled on Merseyside...
14 Aug 2009 06:33:33

Alberto Aquilani, now at Liverpool, has hit out at Roma's medical staff over their handling of his various injury concerns during his time at the club.

A youth product of the Giallorossi, Aquilani's hugely promising career has hung in limbo over the past few seasons due to an inability to reach full fitness.

The midfielder, who is currently recovering from ankle treatment, said in The Daily Mail, "I realise now that the way things were sometimes done in Italy didn’t do me any favours.

"For example, this latest problem with my ankle was initially overlooked by people at the club. They thought it was a minor problem and told me to carry on playing and subsequently it needed surgery."

Aquilani believes that the constant alterations to Roma's medical staff were partly to blame, and he is considerably more at ease with the physicians at Anfield.

"The problem there was the doctors changing all the time," said the Italian international.

"I am so happy to be here, from a football point of view but also for my wellbeing, because I have noticed a difference already.

"The doctors here have told me not to rush, because that way we would avoid any recurrence."

Apparently that's not what he said and goal.com have misquoted it (there's a surprise for such a reputable news company  :D ). If they have got it this bad then it's pi.ss poor journalism.

RAWK discussions on it

According to those guys who watched the interview, Rafa said  Glen Johnson "was a great player and would help Gerrard and Torres".

From what I've seen on youtube (which is obviously edited :) ) he looks like he has a great footballing brain. There are a couple of brilliant through balls he plays when most players would shoot into a crowd of defenders.

He appears to be quite dynamic. Perhaps he doesn't have the passing range of Alonso but he carries the ball more and plays further up the pitch. The one thing that may help is that there's no need to hit 70-yard passes if you're only 30-40yards from goal.

Just a pity he isn't fit for Sunday! Still, Lucas will score :p
