Great result - very happy with that.
Thought Chelsea were far the better side over 2 legs - made Barca looked ordinary. Played a bit like we have in the past - huge amounts of effort, pressing football, discipline - didn't let Barcelona settle at all. Barca didn't have one shot on target before the goal. Im sure this won't be popular but I thought Lampard was superb tonight - great defensive display with Essien and Ballack and incisive passing on the break. It's ridiculous that he didn't even get nominated for PFA player of the year. I can live with this so called 'anti-football', it was the right way to nullify Barcelona and nearly worked.
It must be one of the worst refereeing performances of all time. Chelsea had 3 clear cut penalties, possibly four. The Pique hand ball was unbelievably obvious. I think Drogba's continual diving finally caught up with him and I'm very glad to see it - I hope he realises that it contributed to his side going out of the competition. The ref also got conned by Anelka. I can't believe that Andy Gray couldn't see Anelka trip himself up after multiple replays - terrible punditry. Disgraceful diving by Anelka.
The best part of all was seeing Drogba at the end. How can he call anyone else a f'ucking disgrace. For such a gifted footballer he is the biggest disgrace of all - I laughed when he lost it - it was class.
Anyway for me - Barcelona vs United is a much better final than a rerun of last year. It's just a pity that Barcelonas defence will be decimated by suspension and injury. It's a greater pity that Liverpool aren't in it - I would LOVE it if we were.
Sabre - I need you to teach me some Barcelona songs for the 27th mate!
