The Premiership - General Discussion

And as for that other tw@t, it's ironic him having a go at the ref considering it was partly his fault they went out. One for missing two or three guilt edge chances over the two legs, and secondly for contributing to the added four minutes at the end with his constant feigning of injury.

:nod

As I said above, as a solitary match the result was unjust to Chelsea (due especially to the Pique handball).  As another timely reminder that karma always comes back to bite whingers, divers and bullies in the a.rse it couldn't have been scripted more perfectly.  :buttrock

Point is whether Chelsea were hard done by or not, being a man up if they were good enough they would have been able to get hold of the ball. IMO thats what lost them the tie, the inability to string together a few passes and have some control in midfield even when they were a man up.

hiddink said they would have to play intelligently - at the end of the match there was no intelligence shown from any chelsea player!!

Drogba last night was a case of the boy who cried wolf. He had it coming.

Yep, I couldn't believe how little the sending off affected Barca's passing game and possession.  They did have a few ropey moments at the back with the spaces opened up but Toure and Pique managed to just do enough.

I hope they get Puyol and Henry back for the final, though.  Eto'o was anonymous last night and they need Puyol's steel and organization in defense to shackle Ronaldo and Rooney.

Hindink´s earlier comment is interesting when he said it could be this Chelsea teams last chance to win the cup.... that team is aging and will be broken up soon. Ballack, Drogba, FF etc....

Apart from that, I loved the extra time events..... cracking.

I'd imagine being tied up in chains is right up that gimp Ronaldo's street, the deviant.....

theres a lot of good points been raised that I'm certainly going to torture my Chelsea mate with so thanks for that :D

I read somewhere that even though Hiddink's going, he decides who stays and goes, don't know if he's controlling signings but doesn't this seem a bit...well fecking stupid because it's not even going to be his team. Surely saying things like this hints he's going to stay? ???

Frank was crying, Cashley was going to as well, fecking hilarious. Was that little kid from a few years ago there crying as well!?

I loved seeing scumbag Terry so upset, that scum will hopefully never win a CL medal now and will have to live with the fact that he bottled the CL in 2008 and that is what he will be remembered for. Tough luck pikey :D

If Hiddink goes it will be yet another transition period for Chelsea, if he stays they will probably have a more decent season than those of recent times

Could be worse, they could be Arsenal. They've been "in transition" for five years" and are still in it now.
