Reina- 0 - did nothing all game the lazy kunt
Arbeloa- 8 - did well defending and managed to put some good crosses in, lucky really as nobody else playing on the right can cross
Aurelio- 8 - solid performance and great cross for the first
Carra- 8 - solid as always
Skittles- 8 - solid, with the other back 3 kept chavs at bay
kuyt- 4 - why does this guy keep getting picked? no ability and no composure, his crosses last night were a disgrace
Gerrard- 8 - marauding and showed his quality (dodgy dive though)
Alonso- 8 - back to his best after taking a rest last season
mash- 8 - bossed the centre with alonso
Rierra- 7- decent performance and a great effort in first half, but his flick to gerrard when he was on the six yard line showed lack of awareness
torres- 9- quality all game and great finish for the first

benny- 9- should be picked on the right every week, great last 20 from benny, lively and a few great efforts, more threat in 20 minutes than kuyt was in 95
Babel- 6- back on the left and didnt do much in his short appearance
N'gog- too short to judge

Have to agree peewee spot on torres for me didn't do alot untill 2nd half after that he was giving chavs problems all around the box , he was scaring the life out of terry.I felt gerrard was pretty good all game.

Kuyt was a waste of space I have to agree no idea why he gets picked he is good when he don't have the ball only reason i can think of he is dire with it.Bennt wow he did really well last 2 games he has to be given a chance now over kuyt , I have to drop my agro with him just for moment.

Rest all spot on I think the biggest plus was team was a 9/10 not only did we own them all over the pitch we scored 2 great goals things are looking good now if only we can give our selfs a fighting chance vrs the smaller teams we can really put the mancs under pressure.

I just don't know tho why we find it hard to rise to the smaller games its very wierd to say the least.

If we had a whole season of just playing the top 4 it seems we win the prem every year and we wouldn't have said that a year ago. :oops:

O yeah and babel peewee shame on you not spotting the great pass he gave gerrard to setup the 1st goal it was inch perfect to his feet and alowed him to play that nice 1-2 with kuyt ! :no

To be fair it alonso had done that pass half of forum goers be aving a good hard tank over it tbh. :laugh:

Aurelio- 8.5 - One of the best LB performance of the season.... the could only mean one thing....dossena will be picked against $hitty pompey

Carra- 7 - solid as always

Alonso- 7.5 - Would be an 8 if he does his "attacking midfielder act more"...... but this is an encouragement. I have always maintained he should play further up the field and leave the defensive work to monster masch... (pls don't drop him for lucas...his appearance will also impact

mash- 8 - boss (please don't drop him for lucas)

Rierra- 5- IMO..the worst player today....i really expected more from him. Think Babel did more last season in the LW role than Riera has done this season..... Anyway like kuyt, he played some part in neutralizing their fullback

benny- 7.5 - Would be mich higher if he started the game..... but maybe Kuyt made cole tired with all his pressing and made it easier for benny ?

Babel- 6.5 - Looked much more of a threat than Riera (shouldn't read much into that).

Kuyt was also involved in the opening goal - Kuyt > Gerrard > Benayoun > Torres.

I'm not sure ratings for players is either a great idea or needed with a match thread existing. Those who want to do ratings can do so in the match thread, otherwise it's just ANOTHER opportunity (or slightly different way) to bash Kuyt, Babel, Lucas etc etc etc :sleep

As for Reina doing "nothing all game", he stopped one shot and set play going from the back so "nothing" is harsh

my reina score is a joke guys based on the fact the we were in such control of the match, i checked with my 6 month old puppy before i posted it just in case it would go over some peoples heads, he laughed

Pepe - 7 - had nothing to do bar one shot

Arbeloa 7 - Solid put in some good crosses
Skittles 8 - Anelka got nothing the same with Drogba
Carra 8 - Same as Skittles
Aurelio -8 Constant threat down the left and great cross for Torres goal

Reira 7 - had a couple of strikes and was threatening but should of had a swing with his right when clear
Masher 7 - Solid all game and passed the ball well
Xabi 8 - controlled the game throughout and had a coupl eof efforts
Kuyt 7 - was involved in both goals plus setting up a chance for xabi , kept cole quiet all game and put in nukerous blocks and tackles - poor crossing

Gerrard -9 world class - no one could touch him yesterday - would of got a ten bar the dive

Torres - 8 great finish for first goal but had a poor first half

Subs - Yossi - 7 very good impact on game

Babel and Ngog - no real time to impact 6

Alex - 7 - Chavs best player
Terry - 4 - Crapped himself whenever Torres had the ball.....and suspended for the FA cup
Mikel - 4 - Rubbish
Ballack - 4 - Can't stand the nob and glad he was :censored:

Fat Frank - ? - Still wetting myself at the red card, it was like xmas and birthdays all at once
Kalou - 3 - Who???
Malouda - 2 - Thank Fook they got him instead of us
Anelka - 5 - No support and only plays in a top 4 team anyway
