If we have to lose Agger, Richards would be a step in the right direction at least.
Why do we keep buying first team players when we have a 38 man squad?

Apologies if this has already been posted up on the forum somewhere:

http://www.goal.com/en-indi....on-loan

Reports suggest that Everton are set to take Robbie Keane on loan for the remainder of the season from Liverpool.

The Ireland international striker has struggled to settle into his new home following his £20 million move from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

The deal that has reportedly been offered to Everton is that they will take Keane on loan until the season finishes but the Reds will still pay the Irishman's wages.

An independent Everton fans' forum has reported that Toffees' boss David Moyes is on the lookout for more loan signings, and has also said that Keane has been offered to Everton on loan.

The 28-year-old has been left out of several squads by Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, and has only made 17 Premier League appearances this season, scoring five goals during that span.

Moyes has also been looking at Lokomotiv striker Peter Odemwingie. The Nigerian, who has been continually linked with the Liverpool-based club for the last year or so, could finally make the move to Goodison Park, possibly in a loan deal from the Russian Premier League side.

Personally, this sounds like total bullsh1t.

Micah Richards is desperate to end his Manchester City hell and join Liverpool in a shock £8million move. The 20-year-old is determined to leave the club before the end of the transfer window after becoming disillusioned with life at Eastlands under boss Mark Hughes.Richards has become frustrated by the lack of progress at the club and the constant media circus which has surrounded City since the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group.

The City star, who has endured a difficult time at Eastlands in recent months, has failed to recapture the form which saw him catapulted into the England squad as a teenager.

And after being snubbed recently by Fabio Capello, Richards is ready to quit City to save his England career.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have already looked into taking the player before the end of January - but the Gunners are struggling for cash with Arsene Wenger still battling it out for Andrei Arshavin.

And Reds boss Rafa Benitez is ready to offer Richards a way out of City by launching a bid for the versatile defender with doubts still surrounding the future of Daniel Agger.

AC Milan are determined to lure the Danish defender to Italy, despite Benitez stating the player is not for sale.

But the Spaniard's stance could soften should he secure the signature of Richards before the transfer window closes.

Where's this article from mate? Any (remotely) credible source? Would like it to be true is all, but I have severe doubts about it being anything other than pure conjecture from the authors side. While Richards has been off the boil this season he's still very young and will eventually find his form again imo, so 8 million for a talented english international would be quite a steal, especially seeing as we actually could do with another RB to put pressure on Arby (no, Degen doesn't count :D).

Sorry mate, I should have put a link  Link

No idea if the source is any good ..... probably not .

I don't care if the source is a good one or not.  It's the best news / rumor we've heard of in this window.  I've got my fingers crossed.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

:censored: looks like Arshavin is going to Arsenal.  Too bad, we could have really used him.

[quote]I've never posted any rumour on this site before & to be honest the only reason I read anything on it is because i get a good laugh off most of it but I am gonna post something today but it's not a rumour, as Rafa would say its a fact. Robbie Keane will sign for Manchester City before next Monday. Richard Dunne was asked some time ago by Mark Hughes to contact Keane (as they are such good friends) & ask him if he'd be interested in coming down but he has always answered that he has just got his dream move & wants to stay at the Reds, until last Saturday that is when he found out he was dropped from the squad for the Everton game, he immediately contated Benitez to ask why he was dropped & he was told that the club is in talks with Man City over a move & that a deal is nearly finalised. This is genuine info & will 100% happen, I just hope Liverpool don't waste the money they get for him which is appentley 1 million more than what they paid. Hard to believe know but they're throwing money around like thay're printing it so not totally unbelievable. I for 1 would like to take this oppertunity to thank Man City for taking him at such an outrageous price, I just wish they'd take Lucas too but I find it hard to believe that the likes of Chester City would take him, never mind Manchester City. I find it hard to believe that he's even really Brazillian.

PS. When is Rafa gonna realise that Zonal Marking just does not work? Can we please get back to picking a man & staying with him for corners & frees.

It reads like a Peter and Jane story that, I´d say the poster was no more than 12 years old.

No link, no source, just a good laugh from another site!!

An aquaintence who works for Texas Rangers , owned by Tom Hicks rang me to tell me Man City's chief exec , Gary Cooke has been in protracted talks abot the sale of Torres to City for a fee well in excess of what they were prepared to pay for Kaka . City are insisting on utmost secrecy after the Kaka fiasco . Torres is losing faith with Benitez's ability to maintain a sustained challenge and woud be willing to go if Alonso can be included in the deal . Gerrard , he knows would never go to City as he has ambitions to play for Barca , that's going to happen this summer as Hicks and Gillet's finances are in meltdown . The Torres story will break after the Chelsea game when both parties are hopeful it will all be tied up .
