The day the Earth stood still, Keanu Reeves again dissapointed in the end with this I thought it could of been soooo much better than it was. A good film there was waiting to come out but it never happened.

Con Air: Directors cut with an added 15 mins .... I didnt notice the extras.

The good the bad and the Weird. A Korean Movie that was thoroughly enterning, Cowboys, pirates and Japaneese people running around chasing a sacred map. Good movie had subtitles but worth the read.

The Wrestler: Turned thi B' grade off as soon as I saw Micky Rourkes terrible surgery on his boat.

Nixon/Frost: Fecking good movie, I presume this is the David Frost who now presents through the key hole, I didnt actually now the boring old fa.rt did something worthwhile with his life. Good movie, quite slow but once you get into the movie and get the gist od the film along with Watergate its definately worth a watch.

Australia: Decent movie, a bit theatrical and Nicole Kidman is usually worth a watch.

100 feet: Appears to be a B' grader, but I'd B plus grade this movie and cast, a good movie this one. Where the Wife of her Murdered cop, who she Murdered after being battered by him for years. Is let out of jail and is under house arrest with one of those ankle things on, the one that Pennant used to wear while playing footie. Anyway she goes back to her house and cannot leave there for a year, but Paranormal things start happening to her in that house.

Defiance: Daniel Craigs latest one. I like WWII Movies but this didnt quite cut it for me. Based on a true story its about a clan of Jews in Russia who decide to get even with the Russian and German forces that have occupied their area. But seek a new home in a forest. Not that good really.

Body of Lies: I like these kind of films but this isnt better that Traitor IMO, but certainly depicts the Americans CIA as an arrogant naive bunch.

Holy fu'ck..they never had a DVD player in the cells when I was in newkit scrubs!

I know, but when you're considered part of the La Cosa Nostra inside Barry you get the luxury lifestyle at taxpayers expense.

watched slumdog millionnaire. Was a good movie, good story. 7/10 for me. The bit when the boy crawls through the shyte is one part to watch. :laugh:

watched Valkyrie yesterday at the pictures

This film is right up my street. It had me dissapointed when the plt to kill hitler failed. then i thought habg on - i know my history and i know it failed anyway

Nonetheless, anyone who likes war films or war type films will love tis. I liked it very much and i thought Tom Cruise and Bill Nighy were excellent

Really enjoyed it too. Very original and great cinematography. I'd say it's likely to win big at the Oscars.

Watched Gomorrah last night - film about the mafia in Naples.

Pretty gruesome stuff - but is supposed to be a very accurate depiction of the Neapolitan Mafia.

Worth watching.

Che - Guerilla (part 2)

Second part of what is essentially a 4 hour long biopic when combined with the first part, and as such needs to be viewed as a whole rather than two separate films. Part 2 depicts Che's attempted revolution in Bolivia that eventually failed and lead to his eventual capture and death at the hands of the Bolivian army and the CIA.

Steven Soderberg has produced an amazing film from start to finish and should be credited for not tainting his project with invariable Hollywood propaganda. Expertly directed and easily one of the best film's I've watched in recent times documenting one of the most amazing historical figures of modern times; Che Ernesto Guevara Lynch. Epic.

10/10

Watched 'W', by Oliver Stone, not a bad film but not a lot new in it. TBH I finished up feeling slightly sorry for Bush while wondering how the hell did he ever get elected.
