So it's official liverpool f.c are no 1 at Christmas and going on recent history, 3 out of the 4 past seasons the team that have been number 1 at Xmas has gone on to lift the title.

But are we good enough or are we just being to hard on ourselves.IMO if we are to win the league we just need to be a place above the mancs as i only see them as the real danger
and with Torres hopefully due for a return soon and liverpool usually having a strong second half of the season there is certainly every chance and our best chance since we last won the league.

COME ON RED MEN make us champions!!!

Yes...... It's the heart talking here..... absolutely refuse to listen to the head at this time of year. Things have conspired to make it appear like its our year..... Like when we won the Champions league in Istanbul.... everything else was going horribly but I had a feeling in the pit of my gut that we were gonna win it.

I'm happy to announce that with the results that the bitters got against Chelsea, said same feeling is slowly raising it's head once again!

:D :D :D

I know we have had loads of stupid draws at the moment that should of been wins but we have been without Torres and if you look at it that way we have done well, We have had a lot of luck that Chelsea and Utd have had similar results.
The last couple of seasons we have always come strong at the end, Let's just hope when Torres is back he is his normal self and we stand a very good chance.

We are going to win it. Mark my words, I have had that 'gut' feeling since my birthday (27th Sep).

ITS OUR YEAR!

Torres and the January transfer window are key for us.

They've really taken their time with Torres with a view to getting him fit for the busy Xmas period. I know many say that January is not the best time to bring in players but I feel we need to freshen the squad up. Get rid of some fringe players and look to bring in 1-2 very good/top class players.

My heart tells me we can win it but my head tells me that we've dropped too many points at home in recent weeks.

Chelsea will be missing Terry for the next 3 games. That + Carvalho leaves them struggling big time at the back.
Arsenal are missing Fabregas and Adebayor over the next few weeks
Man Utd are hopefully shattered after their trip

We are in a great position to kick on over the xmas period.

I'm not convinced Chelsea are the main threat after tonight's game.

Have a guess who was captain of my (redundant) fantasy football team? Clues are he plays in blue, cost me points for his bad behaviour and is captain of his national team. I've had to drop him as he'll miss a few games :D I suspect that may include the FA Cup. I remember when we played Burnley that we couldn't play Morientes (?) as he'd signed after the game should have been played so wouldn't have been signed in time. One of their players would have been suspended, but served his suspension during the postponement period and was then deemed eligible to play.

I'd like to start dumping our opponent's players in my team, but I've had to revise it a bit to counter our rivals' threat. It now has Alex and Ferdinand, fat frank and diving cheating portugese cunt and Rooney and Anelka in it. Still managed to put three Bolton players in it, putting each weeks' opponents in would mean changing the team every week and I can't be ar$ed.

No hurry with torres. The hamstrings are 3 weeks of recovery at least, just like the flu is 1 week. That´s inamovible.

I'm sure this question is going to be as daft as your comment - how do you figure that? Three players allowed from each team, transfers not an issue because I don't care about how the team does.

Maybe you're just a pedantic knob because I wasn't suggesting that was the entire team listed

My mate who is a Blue has just text me and said:- "We could have just given you the title. Waa."

And the nice thing is, I know, knowing him, he means it in the sense that he would like to see us do it. A rare Blue, but one who's nice to know.
