But for you to sit there and say that, then defend Lucas is beyond belief. You don't have a clue about football what so ever mate. Give it a rest now and go and take up and watch another sport.

When he is diving all over the place looking for free kicks I say he looks like a fool.

He's a much better player when he's given the ball further up the park rather than when he's asked to play a deeper more holding role, then all you get off him is six yard sideways passes.
Stepping in when SG is having a rest is probably the best use of him right now though and it lets him play his natural game.

Yeh its hard for lucus when he is seen as the next one in line to replace SG and alonso must be hard to live up to that this is why he needs even more suport from our fans.

me too, its just a pity that the judges cant see past his 42 goals last season. other than that hes a diving

Don't agree at all mate, I thought Lucas had a good game.

Expected the worst when I saw the team sheet with him in it, but he didn't let us down today.  Didn't do anything special but was quite good at breaking up play and he passed it well.  Will never be a top player imo, but does not deserve to be slated after today's game.

In fact including the PSV game and today that's two good performances in the last two games I've seen him play.  Many (me included) don't think he's up to it, but I do think he's showing some improvement.
