At least give him a chance before coming out with stupid comments like that.
Why is it stupid?
Being a complete moron is part of the job description for the US Presidency.
Let's be totally, brutally honest about this, shall we?
The pathetic game show that is the US election is nothing but an utter f*cking farce. I'm suprised they didn't have cheerleaders and candyfloss.
For Christ's sake - I'm embarrassed for the yanks.
They are the most powerful nation in the world. They helped for the most part to win WW2. People naturally think differently over there after their country has gone through so much. Instead of just mocking them as a farce becasue you see it differently why not just keep your trap shut.
Do not get into a history debate with me, for you will lose.
America entered the war because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour.
They were quite happy to just continue selling their arms to us, until that. (Accumulating a debt we were paying until 2006, I might add.)
Lando, my friend.
When you remember the victims of war of your country, you remember all of them, and rightly so. You remember every soldier, no matter if it was a sergeant or a colonel who died for the country.
Why in the case of Americans, you focus then in their government? Their government had interests like any other government, we could speak aswell of other governments.
But the fact is, that thousands of unknown americans died in the beachheads of Europe. Guys from Kentucky or Alabama died in Europe, so I find a bit unfair to forget them stating that "America entered the war because Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour". Those are government decissions, but the fact is that lots of AMerican people died in Europe.
Denying that America helped out Europe because they entered the war late, is like diminishing the merit of English soldiers because they waited until Poland was invaded to declare war. The fact is, that independently of decissions of the government, the poor unknown soldiers, the people of america, England and many other countries died in the fight against Hitler.
