That's atletico for you, capable of the worst and the best. You cannot respect less them even after a 6-1 and an awful game, because they can come to Anfield and beat us. I think we're a better team than them, but if they have the day, they can even win in Manchester away. If they haven't the day, you can bully them. It's difficult to know which Atletico you can expect. Anyhow, they're more solid than they're used to be and Aguirre has done an excellent work if you ask me, they did well to give him time.

Messi is the best player in the world right now .

On form, probably. Cronaldo last year when on form was heralded the best by the media etc. I've thought for a while Messi is the best in the world, overall. He's head and shoulders above the rest imo

Good to see Valencia doing well aswell, especially considering the turmoil they were in last season.

Also, I hope Athletico keep defending like they did the other night for the next month. :D

We'd tear 'em apart if they play like that against us. Somehow though I can't see it happening with Nando making his first return there.
It's gonna be quite surreal if Nando does score against them cos I think 90% of the Atletico supporters will celebrate as much as if they'd scored themselves!!  :D

4-4 at the Madrigal (one of my favorite words to say in Spanish) what a crazy game between Atleti and Villareal. Atleti 2-0 up early, then young Argentine loanee starlet Ever Banega gets sent off, then Villareal score 4 in a row in the 2nd half, then Atleti come back and tie it late.

^ That was such a crazy game.  It seemed like every time I looked away someone scored a goal.

Also loved the way Villareal passed the ball around, it was a joy to watch.  They really do have some very talented players on their team.

Atletico will really struggle to get in the top four I think. Villareal and Valencia are far more balanced sides, as are Seville.

I wonder if that would lead to Agüero leaving the club? My hunch says yes, as he has now gotten a taste of the CL and wants to perform continually on the biggest stage. But that's just my opinion, and the season's still far from finished yet aswell. The spanish league does look strong at the top this season though with the two regular contenders along with the ones you've already mentioned.
