How the hell can you call Michael Owen a traitor you dumb piece of ******? He's been here since he was 11, he didn't walk out on us like that ****** Macca. Countless goals he scored made us what we are today, don't forget that. Show some respect to the player that cheered for when he won the FA cup himself.

Owen had the right to go but he shouldn't had promised anything. I think deep down inside he knew that he couldn't bounce back from the injuries at LFC, he just couldn't do it anymore. He needs a fresh start, and thats what Real will bring.

Everybody is is intitled to an opinion but i for one won't be booing Michael Owen if he returns to play against us at Anfield. I'll be rooting fo him to be successful in Madrid and will watch as many Real Madrid games as i can this season.

I want boo him but I might be tempted to cheer his mistakes.  I'd say the board is pretty much split over this and its not just wind up merchents saying they're going to boo him a number of premium members are with them.

I do feel like Owen has betrayed us.  Not because he took so long to sign a contract which meant he ended up leaving, not because the fee was so low for his quality but because he sayed he loved Liverpool and I don't see how any one who really loved it could ever leave.

A.B, my friend, the hustler is a wind up merchant. ignore him and then you don't need to worry, if every1 did the same he may come back to earth or ****** off, either way.

not true, Gerrard was on the verge of leaving, Ian Rush left Fowler left. They all left Liverpool, and they loved the club.

I am sure Owen holds Liverpool close to his heart, after all we were the club who nurtured him and gave him the chance to become the player he is today.

The way Owen left is disappointing, it was somwhat disrespectful to the loyla fans of this club , I hope he comes out and states his reasons for leaving and explains to us fans why he did it, out of courteousy to the fans who have idolised him while he was at the club.

Ah, but Gerrard didn't leave did he.  He loved the club too much, Rush, Fowler and others - where they being offered a new even more lucrative contract?

Owen isn't much of a traitor. I am not supporting liverpool just because Owen has been there. His presence serve the purpose as a subject to liverpool fc, a player who should deliver its goods.
I am happy that he has left the club. Owen served what he could have given. We got the best of him. I will be darn right that Real will not get the best of him, because the best has past him. Things just have to go when they do not fit right in the puzzle.
Recently, the past 2 years, I just think Owen thinks too highly of himself. He thinks Liverpool is himself. Some fans pledge that Liverpool will falter if he is injured or sold. A world class striker? What utter rubbish! When you talk about an overhyped player, one of them should be Owen, for his performances during the past 2 years.

Now Liverpool will be without the so-called Son Of England, Liverpool is transiting to a new phase, a new regime, which will definitely deliver success. I hail all you fans to support Liverpool further and not hink how LFC will cope without Owen. It was never a problem!

true, but he was practically out of here. Loyalty scarcely exists in football anymore, only amongst fans really.

Owen leaving is not much of a shock is it? We all know he is an ambitious young man don't we?.

Owen could have had more tact about the way he left but in football that's how the cookie crumbles i'm afraid, He would have been within his rights to leave on a bossi if he wanted or in the middle of the season for 3m and kept a 7m fee for himself But true to his word he earned us money, not alot mind but after Euro 2004 his performance was not due to command a staggering transfer fee.

Sometimes when a manager turns up at a club he has his own plans and not every manager that walks through the LFC gates will always automatically always hold certain players in the same estiem as other individuals.

I do think YES Owen was a great player But nobody could partner him Maybe Owen was the problem? Year after year LFC fans knew what to excpect BUT now is a new chapter i simply thin Raffa thought that Baros and Cisse would be better for the team dispite saying what all managers say "we wanted to keep him".

I  think Owen was a player we could no afford to loose and would rather not have a staile Owen and take 8m. As Raffa said when he first arrived  "Having a Supertar does not automatically mean success, teamwork is more important" well it's a new and exciting chapter and i for one am excited out with the old and in with the new.

God Bless Lfc, Walk On.
