I think its a diasaster him leaving... any player who scores a goal every other game is worth his weight in gold.  I don't think he is a traitor.  What player would turn down a move to Real Madrid.. Unfortunately they ARE the best team in the world, although it hurts to say it!!  I think now that Houllier has gone, we will probably score more goals this season, even without Owen, so maybe we can push on and challenge for the championship which is exactly what we should do every year... although it would have been easier with Michael in the team
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Players come and go, this is part of life. At least we did not lose him on a Bosman. owen did not fancy playing under Rafael Benithez, so what? His loss.

Get over it.

Owen who? Cisse is much more of a team player than Owen,  not only will Cisse score goals but will create more goals for other players, as a team Liverpool will score more. Owen has been great for Liverpool over the years but last season missed a load of chances, he couldn't even score penalties!!  Won't boo him though!

I think Owen has already peaked and is on a downward trend as a top rate striker. He has to move on before his game is up. Suspect that Benitez couldn't promise him automatic spot. He had to choose the RM's bench over Pool's.

No, I won't boo him. I have all the No 10 shirts to remember him by.

Live4pool, In two lines you have probably summed up the situation.
I would still have him back in January, but at a knock-down price !! :D
