the statistic that matters is winning it, and i just hope rafa is backed financially to win the premiership, and with the present level of investment it is almost impossible

S@int I think your a top fellow and I respect your opinion, which your are more than entitled to , but I feel Rafa has done exceptionally well in his four years here and I doubt anyone could of done better.

And nothing will change my mind about that.

I've made my points and listened to yours and they are all valid but I feel he has made us a better team in his short time here.

What is wrong with you? Why have you become so embittered mate?

At the end of the day, not one person here has said things are right, or that we have the best team, etc.

YOU are the one saying the team is good enough to win the title - not me, or anyone else who backs the gaffer.

All these pointless digs about Alonso and Rafa are starting to get up my nose - what's the point? I haven't mentioned Alonso for weeks, save for the odd comment in the "Alonso says he's staying" thread.
I believe our woes are down to things other than Rafa and Alonso - simple.

If you wish to blame the gaffer - that's your choice. But repeating yourself over and over does nothing but underline the notion that you're just trying to wind folks up. Continuously posting anti-Rafa garbage, whilst slandering the facts that support him does the same.

Theres no problem mate, I believe if he cant mount a title challenge in 5 years he should go. Thats my opinion. If you think he should be given as long as it takes to mount a title challenge thats your prerogative. Personally I think if he hasn't managed it by next season the likelyhood of him ever managing it is slim.

As people are happy to keep reminding us Fergie didn't win it for 7 years......... but he did challenge in 2!

Top and bottom of it is I must have a higher opinion of our team than you. I think they were good enough to challenge, you obviously don't.

Conversely, you must have a higher opinion of Rafa than I do, you must think he did the best he could with a poor set of players, I don't.

Thats fair enough Doddy, I don't expect everyone to see it my way, and I agree completely that we have a better team than when he came. Which probably adds to my disappointment that we havent done any better than we did with the old team.

I am not trying to change anyones mind, all I am saying is IMO if we don't mount a title challenge (not win it) next season, I think he has had long enough and we should look elsewhere.

If he manages to mount a title challenge, I will be delighted and would be more than happy if he chose to stay.

5 years is long enough in my view to build a side and challenge for the title, considering we were 4th when he took over. As to whether anyone could have done better...... WHO KNOWS?

No chance, if you need it quantifying, go through the results for last season, then remember the games where we played terrible, I have already given you a head start, then work out the percentages yourself.

We played poorly in some, but for fuc.ks sake lad the holocaust was terrible and Robert Maguabe's regieme is a bysmall, we had an evewr so slightly above average season.

we expect to get to the latter stages of Champions League each year, how often did that happen in the previous 10 years before rafa?!!?!

I may be accused of being pedantic again Rafa, but the rules for qualification changed mate, under the old rules we would have only qualified twice through our league position. We wouldn't even have qualified the year we won it under the old rules so the comparison is not really fair mate. (not sure when it changed from top 3 to top 4 but it wasn't THAT long ago)

I would argue that if we spent £150million on new players and saw no improvement we would be even more p!ssed off mate.
