Vantage Point. Nice concept and nicely executed but the storyline was a little weak. Not bad but nothing to write home about.

If you like acoustic guitars check out this scene where the kid gets his hands on a guitar for the very first time.

august rush

I saw that too woof..... long flight and was running out of things to do so I watched it..... with Robin Williams in it,  it can't be that bad right? A little soppy and too far fetched but enjoyable nonetheless I thought. Deffo worth a watch i've you've nothing better to do.

:D

Saint , any movie starring Jet Li AND Jackie Chan derserves a look. It wasn't a bad movie, entertaining enough but wouldn't make it onto my dvd shelf.

Watched a no star small budget movie last night called P2. Nothing new in the plot , woman trapped in basement of car park with a pyscho, will she survive etc. I knew she would but had to watch it to it's conclusion anyway :D . Fairly entertaining and worth the DLoad.

Fast forward straight to that bit and then throw the DVD out the window. The missus made me sit through that and it was painful viewing

JUst caught Stranger wilderness last night , downloaded it . Yes i know dawson ! :D

Thought it was a decent show , got a few laughs out of it but the storyline is rather flat and you may find it dragging after a while .

Finally got around to seeing Iron Man last night and was quite impressed.  Good effects, decent story and I thought Robert Downy Jr. was superb--both as the smarmy egotist at the beginning and, post-epiphany, as a guy who is slowly, somewhat reluctantly growing into the role of a super hero.  Full marks to Jeff Bridges too for his turn as the sleazy but never over-the-top villain. :nod 8/10

Yes, a sequel definitely looks to be on the cards, mate.  They set it up with a tiny little teaser after all the credits roll in fact.

I was completely not interested in the "Incredible Hulk" up until I saw the trailer last night before Iron Man.  The shots early in the movie, where Ed Norton's living in hiding (looks like Brazil?) look promising.  It reminds me of the early stuff in Batman Begins, where Bruce Wayne heads for the Himalayas to find himself.  I love realistic touches like that instead of overly cartoonish comic book movies (like the earlier Batman movies).  That said, the CGI vibe for the Hulk doesn't have me that excited.  I hate it when main characters are predominantly CGI (Gollum in LOTR being the one notable exception, for me).  I always find that they characters look too flat and too many directors compensate by speeding up the action so you never get a good look at anything.  May yet check this one out, though. ???
