I would absolutely LOVE to see David Silva playing on the left wing for Liverpool.

All I can say is that Nanny Red talks with the relevant people at Real Madrid.

She has proven me she knows people like Michel, Butragueño and some Getafe board over this months, absolutely true this, no hint of doubt.

In the other hand I know Madrid  has an interest for Silva, so if they have an interesting on Silva, they also know who are competing with.

So the only logical conclussion is that Real Madrid know that they're competing with us and Nanny knows it.

So if our Nanny says to trust her, I'll just say AMEN!!!!

The positive thing is that Real Madrid are fighting for Ronaldo and they won't be able to outbid us after a move like that.

So cross your fingers for Ronaldo going there mates.

agree with you on this lad bob i thought he was first class last night and led the line very well, he reminds of of crouch abit as he is is big with two good feet but unlike crouch seem to have an ounce of pace and can jump, would be a big culture shock for him to come to us as nearly all the russian team are home based

rafa might have found a use for voronin, driver for this lad or going the other way as a px  :eyebrow

Yeah ??

How the feckin ell does she know Michel and Butragueno, she is the coolest nanny in the world

Silva hasnt set the world alight in these championships but in a strange way that could be better.
It would hopefully mean there was less competition in signing him, and possibly take some pressure of him if we signed him, the usual over expectaion hype that surrounds new players.

Silva looked pretty useful last night as did Ramos, I'm having a few doubts about Villa as he looked like he'd ran out of ideas but so did Torres so I guess it could've just been one of those nights.

and i just read that Spurs are making a £20 million offer for Villa ?  :lookaround

I think any striker in the world would have struggled against the Italians last night

BBC rumours page:

Russia playmaker Andrei Arshavin has told Spanish newspaper AS he has had offers from clubs in England and Germany but admitted "what I really want is to play in the Spanish League, in the Primera Division." (Press Association, 1036 BST)

Juventus are set to make their first official move for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso this week after the player hinted he fancied a move to Italy. (Liverpool Daily Post)

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has told Scolari to forget signing the Portugal midfielder Deco as he is ready to sanction a £20m bid for Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin. (Daily Star) - i know its not us, but as it concerns Arshavin, I'd thought id put it in

Won't be at all surprised if Arshavin ends up in La Liga, TBH.  The lad plays in Russia FFS...the warm sunshine will top his list of must-haves, no doubt. :D

In all seriousness, if we're not going to get him--and given our current financial indicators, I'm afraid to say that that's the likely scenario--I hope he does go to Spain (or Italy).  The last thing we need is Chelsea scooping this lad up. :no

I don't think Chelsea can accommodate his style of play , i mean they have already got joe cole on the left flank and where are they going to play him ?? I agree with bob also , i rather arshavin signs for a team in another league rather than one in the permier league let alone any of the top 4
