That Madrid are sniffing round them both though :censored:

Villa and Alonso have both been "rested" for Spains friendly , wonder if its because their minds are on other things?

Villa or Silva

Kinell, finally some rumours worth getting excited about.  Here's hoping it goes like last season...an agonizingly slow start to the silly season eventually gives way to a top drawer signing.  Not fussy whether its Villa or Silva--let's just get one of them signed up at least. :nod

Nah, it's aragones making tests. He'll test the 4-4-2. The other system is a 4-5-1. Also it might have to do something with the doctor's reports, the doctor said that the players are physically like "bulls" (as in strong), and the only players with problems were Fabregas, and Villa. Too early to jump into conclusions.

Senna hasn't appeared in the last Spain game so putting him on front of Alonso is strange. I feel that under 4-4-2 Senna might be the option for holding mid, and under 4-5-1 it will be Alonso as *he* regards Senna more defensive.

The other interesting note is that in this first 4-4-2 test, out of Iniesta, Fabregas and Xavi, it will be the Arsenal player the one to be benched. Which probably makes sense in terms of balance, but it's a fúcking dilemma because I like a lot the player.

Let's see how the 4-4-2 works, probably it will work well against Peru, but I'd like to see a 4-5-1 against Frances and Italies.

:censored:' hell, if we sign these two i'd be in dreamland. if we sign Villa I guess that would mean an end to our current formation, and going back to 4-4-2 with Masch and Gerrard in the centre? Gordon Bennet, we'd be a right force if we get Silva and Villa. But if we want them we either need to sign them up before the Euros, or hope they're both awful at the euros!

Thank fck a decent rumor,be well happy with either but if its Villa we are after better get it done quick or hope he has a bad time in the euros because if he scores 5/6+ you just know chelsea would offer 35m just to cut us out the race, they`ll surely be interested??

Edit. ment to quote king carra.

Shouldn't we be looking to strengthen our wide positions first.  It doesn't make sense to me that Rafa would splash out 25 mill on a striker, when we're in desperate need of quality in the wide areas.

We're after Silva too apparently.  :O

I'd be so chuffed if we got both of these... even if we only got 1 i'd still be chuffed. I think i'd rather Silva though.
