Liverpool are once again supposedly nearing the signing that could well put them back in the title race as Rafa looks for a strike partner who fits well with the fantastic Fernando Torres, and this woudl really be a match made in heaven!

Valencia stars David Villa and David Silva have revealed they are prepared to leave El Mestalla this summer if the club accepts bids from chasing clubs. (Setanta Sports) Liverpool are said to be favourites to land the £25m rated Spanish international hotshot (various)

Fook me i nearly shatt myself reading that  :D please god smile on the Redmen  :buttrock

Shanks on RAWK has said the talks are really serious between us and Valencia but they want more than we paid for Torres 25 million + so maybe this is why we are selling Alonso?
To buy Villa?
Anyway talks have stalled because we have baulked at the price.

Or Silva. Fans have done a website yesterday to demand the club that Silva doesn't leave.

Apparently we want to pay the fee over years with add ons, but valencia are having none of it, they want 25 million + upfront, so they have cancelled the talks.

bar chelsea, there is no clubs out there who will do that. Even Real Madrid play in installments

Valencia can ask whatever they want, but they need badly money, and that's always a burden to ask a lot.

Especially if your players want to leave. Problem though might be if there's a bid war :S, which might perfectly be the case.

Emery, their new coach (former RS player that like Rafa wasn't good enough) has already admitted major players might be on their way out.

If we are in for him I think we may have wanted to seal the deal before the euros because if he has a stormer his price will sky rocket.

Valencia look at Super Swede to replace David Villa
May 26, 2008

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Valencia have already starting to look at players to replace David Villa, as their star striker is expected to depart after the European Championships this summer.

Swedish star Johan Elmander, 26, who currently plays for the French club Toulouse, has been linked with many top clubs already like Barcelona, Juventus, Roma and Galatasaray.

Valencia expect to receive around €30million for Villa, and will use only half of that to purchase Elmander, who is estimated to cost around €14million.

Marca also writes that Valencia’s technical secretary, Juan Sánchez, is a keen admirer of the Swede’s talents, and that he possesses skills of very high standards.
