This rumour originated from a well known (and hated) tabloid paper that I do not wish to mention on this forum!

It is now on the Talksport news buletin along with the Chelsea (Liverpool name your price) bid for Torres  :wwww

thing is rafa does like him, he was going to get him last year if it was not for chavski ( we will buy any player any other teams goes for just to stop them getting him )

i think if he was brought in he COULD do well, he has been in and out of there team and never really given a good run of games

didn't like him because of the dive at are place but if he did come i think rafa could get the best out of him?? imo

Florent Malouda’s agent, Philippe Flavier is ’surprised’ at speculations linking his client with Liverpool.

“I would be very surprised to receive an offer from Liverpool for Florent, after what happened last year (Malouda’s decision to choose Chelsea instead of Liverpool)” Flavier told Setanta Sports.

Florent Malouda signed for Chelsea for £13.5 million in July after beating off competition from Liverpool and Real Madrid. He has failed to make an impact and could be on his way out this summer, even though it might not be Anfield.

illareal’s General director would not confirm whether a bid for the Liverpool’s Peter Crouch is in the store. It was reported few days ago that Villarreal could be making a swoop for the lanky striker.

They have declined to comment on speculations but hinted that they will be making a move for some players.

“We are working on some names, but we never disclose details in the press,” Llaneza said to Sky Sports.

“In a few weeks we want to complete our squad ahead of a big campaign in Europe. This will be our challenge next season.”

Portugal international midfielder Deco could be set for a move to England after Barcelona confirmed he is free to talk to interested clubs.

The Brazil-born star, who is likely to be a target for a number of Premier League clubs, said: "I will almost certainly go to England or Italy.

"I won't stay in Spain as the only club at the same level as Barcelona is Madrid and I would never go to Madrid.

"I will go where I want and not where the club tells me."

Deco joined Barca from Porto in 2004 after helping the Portuguese side win the Uefa Cup, Champions League and domestic league titles.

The 30-year-old won two league championships with the Catalan giants, and was part of the team that beat Arsenal in the Champions League final in Paris in 2006.

However, a series of injuries have hampered Deco's season, contributing to just 14 La Liga starts in Barcelona's campaign.

Reports suggest he is one of a number of big names who could exit the Nou Camp this summer, with Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, Lilian Thuram, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Thierry Henry all mentioned as possible departures.
