i think he is a great signing.... I think Rafa is going to move STevie G to right mid... and partner Alonso wif hamman... but Stevie is world class in the middle... so SWP is perfect for the right position... and form the best midfield in EPL

Certainly would be a good signing. I've been thinking about a midfield four of:
Kewell Gerrard Alonso Wright-Phillips

It would be superb. Definetely Rafa needs to get his foot in the door on this one. English as well which is a big bonus.

I would like to see SWP at Anfield but not for a massive price as he still is unproven 1 good season doesnt make a great player!
But he is a natural RM with pace and a good engine which is what we need!

7 mill is nothing if he improves and becomes a great player

7 Mill is loads to waste on an average player

The thing is does Benitez reckon he can turn him into a great winger if so value for money
