Smicer Expects To Leave Liverpool
4/7/2005 1:42:00 PM
Vladimir Smicer is expecting to leave Liverpool at the end of the season when his current contract expires.

The 31-year-old Czech international has been tipped to rejoin his former club Lens and admitted it was "90% certain" he'd be moving away from Anfield.

The midfielder suffered a knee ligament injury in pre-season and has only managed two Premiership starts since returning.

good - he has been poor since he game. another GH waste of money, at least the wage bill will come down.

I think we wanted rid of him a couple of seasons ago but nobody would pay his wages and the greedy fuKker stayed here.

hardly surprising he's going, should have sold him 2-3 years ago....hard to believe that GH bought Vlad as a REPLACEMENT for McManaman!

bye Vlad, you never were good and you won't be missed.

scored 2 late winners for us against Chelsea a few years back, apart from that I can't think of anything of note about him. Apart from the fact he had very silly hair until a week or so ago

the first lesson provided by lens should be a recovery treatment for his long term insomnia of what to do with ball in front of the net when you're a forwarder

a player who didnt live up to his potential would be a massive understatement, over the years the only things i can remember him doing was when he scored a scorcher against west ham at anfield, maybe 00/01 or 02/03 pretty sure it werent 01/02 cos owen scored both goals in a 2-1 win and when he made it 3-2 to us against leeds in that infamous 4-3 defeat

Don't get me wrong, I have lots of memories of him. Unfortunately they also involve me swearing at the television as he once again gets brushed off the ball or passes it to the opposition.  :D

totally agree. he is useless when he comes on, offers nothing whatsoever.

reminds me of danny murphy last year.

also definately out should be.....Diao, Kewell, Biscan, Le tallec, and Mellor, and Dudek.

I dont know why Rafa didnt start the juventus game with Nunez on the wing and garcai up front just behind baros.
