I saw quite a lot of this lad in the U-20 World Cup this summer and thought he had a fair bit about him as a forward.  That's why I was shocked when he ended up at Birmingham.  Of course it is just a loan spell but they are hoping to make it permanent.  So, is he playing beneath his level at Brum or did he only look strong against spotty competition this summer? ???

yeah and he is on loan from a club in the middle east too when alot of clubs in spain and italy were interested in him. its weird. weirder then van der vaart choosing germany over barcelona. his goals last night were pretty sublime. i have no clue about whats going on with him but i heard the middle eastern club wants around 20million.

I still rate him as a player you cant loose the talent that he had in a season. The lad next door is a Chelsea supporter and reckons he will leave Barca at the end of the season but because hes on a downer he wouldnt want him a Chelsea . Well i might sound off my head sayin this but if the price was right i would be made up to have him here,

I feel that his partying habits and his apparent lack of commitment to training will fracture the squad.

I wouldn't want him at Anfield next season.

Ronaldinho isn't the immortal superstar he was anymore and it seems like Messi is where people turn to when things aren't going right. My fear would be if he joined us, could he cope with Gerrard and Torres being bigger superstars and fans favourite more than him. I don't think he could.

I don't think he's  "sulking"... what I think is that he's lost the passion... the guy has won all the major titles in world football... individual and team... what is there to win for him? nothing... absolutely nothing...

The premiership for one.  How many foreign players say they want to play over here at one point in their career.  I think winning the title in England would be the crowning jewell of his illustrious career.

Guys lets be honest, Ronaldinho would be an absolute monster signing. Even at 50% of his ability he is still miles better than what we have on the wings. Ronaldinho has to be the only player that could have scored 21 league goals from left wing but still be criticised. Would be an immense signing but unfortunately unlikely to happen. Imagine if Kuyt got 21 from the wings....

would he have the passion to succeed over here then? he's already got more money than sense, he's set up for life, wouldn't he just prefer to return to a sunny beach of brazil rather than the muddy beaches of New Brighton or Southport?

I'd still have doubts about him, should he be signed. I'd be excited because I'm aware of what he can do with a ball, but still have doubts.

that's exactly my point...

Well I must confess I've never heard of the bloke, but he did score a good goal the other day (they showed a little montage on the news over here).

I must also confess I find it far from "shocking" that someone has put his name into the mix. There are two main reasons. Firstly and formostly why not? It's a forum after all and sticking people's name into the mix is what it's all about. The fella never said "I think we should sign him" anyway, he asked "how about him?".

The second reason is that I'm not "shocked" quite so easily.

We'd make our money back in shirt sales!  :D

People have mentioned that we know how players from spain have failed here, and no doubt theres a few. but sometimes its worth the risk, look at Torres, hes had his best ever season here.

I'd think you'd be a fool to turn Ronaldinho down.
