German newspapers reported today,
Liverpool would be interested to sign brazilian International right-back Rafinha (22) from german club Schalke 04.

What he´s like? Fights like a lion, good crosses...a bit tiny (1,72m), but a great character. I would love to see him here, but he would be expensive, cause he´s got a contract till 2011...

The english players are the best, sure, that is why they ain´t playin in Austria & Switzerland at the Euro08, no - they are on holidays ´n watch that on TV...

You´re quite right son, our players have one leg bigger than the other and are cross-eyed.

You reap what you sow and at the moment we´re reaping the mistakes of the late 90´s and early 2000´s.

I read somewhere, that we are supposedly willing to pay up to 20 million euro (about 15 million pound I think :Oo:

) for this fella. I have only seen a bit of him, and whilst he has looked quite good, I wonder if we would really pay that much for him, seing as we wouldn't for another more highly regarded brazilian right back (Alves)

Hope we have the sense to get Mascherano nailed down before we even consider offers for Xabi.

If the Alonso rumours are true and Barce want him at the end of the season, maybe we could get a part-exchange for one of their attacking players. I think Eto'o is maybe a bit far fetched, but I could see them parting with either Iniesta or Deco, and we badly need creative players.

Part-exchange or not, this would be a good move for Alonso and for LFC. His game's not been up to scratch for a few seasons now, I think he's a good player who needs a new challenge to get back to his best.

If the rumours are true I think we are going to lose one of either Gerrard or Alonso in the summer, I just hope if we have to lose one its Alonso.

Rafinha really seems to have come on quite nicely this year. Been at Schalke awhile now. Fits the profile of the Daniel Alves/Maicon type of full back. Good going forward, solid defensively. As you say, I don't think he would come cheap though.

We do need better options going forward at full back.

There is a speculation that real madrid are going to put in 50 million for Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard !!!!

Dont have the source just after hearing it twice on Sky Sports News , you know wen they read the back of the newspapers and yes i forgot the newspaper but surely it'll be out tomorrow but 50 million lads
