Dudek or kirkland to start the season? - Should it be the pole in r goal or ck?

I'm still not sure about who i'd prefer , but it's good that we have competition for places.  Dudek has made mistakes but also has showed he's a quality keeper,  while Kirkland has the ability if he can stay fit(unlikely he'll probabally trip over a worm in training and hurt himself again).

Jerzy Dudek, just. Kirkland still isn't there yet, needs to be quicker off his line and command his box better.

Cheesey rhyme in the sub title by the way. :p

i dont think dudek is as good as is made out. the term "paper-wrists" comes to mind, SOMETIMES. (notice i'm not slagging him). and he tends to have a habit of wanting to palm the ball in an excitable fashion rather than make a proper save.

i agree with stu that kirkland needs to be a bit more commanding, but for a goalkeeper. that comes only with experience (playing games). he is technically a better keeper than dudek though. i think he should play.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

Dudek is a far better goalkeeper than Kirkland. Pure and simple.

I'd like Kirkland to play this season.  He's an England keeper in the making and as long as he's fit, he is our best keeper

DUDEK without a doubt. Kirkland is not the great keeper everyone is hyping him up to be. He is scared to come of his line, cannot dive to his left and is injury prone. Dudek is a class keeper entering into his prime. In fairness to kirkland he may improve over time but dudek is definately the number one choice for now.

Dudek will start and deserves one last chance, but any slips at all and Kirkland should take over for good.

I wouldn't be surprised if another keeper comes into the equation in 12 months time.

Right on Rob! This is what I was going to say. When kirkland comes out for a challenge, he always hesitated and Dudek's timing is much better. I also think Dudek has a much quicker reflexes than Kirk.

To be honest although i think Jerzy is a top keeper you have to worry about the errors that he makes. I just think Kirkland would be more reliable and he should be given the chance to improve.

Jerzy is the keeper for me he has made a few clangers but what keeper doesnt

hes much more agile than kirkland and has better feet to kirkland panics and always pumps the ball long conceding posession

but both are good shot stoppers
