How good is this Johnson fella... is he really worth that much    I've only seen glimpses of him in action, and while some of it looked good, I can't help but think, that the price tag has mainly got to do with him being english. On another note, isn't he also a central midfielder    I do believe, there are quite a few other areas, which are in more need of investment (like pretty much all our wide positions and the striker department).

That might be the case mate. It's just that we've already got the current Steven Gerrard aswell as the brazilian Gerrard in Lucas... do we really need more Gerrards    . In all seriousness, he might be a very good addition if we were to sell Alonso, but I just don't want a signing of Johnson to affect which wide players and striker(s) we're going to buy. These positions desperately need reinforcements in the summer imo.

Fast ? Are we talking about the same bloke here ? Did the panel on MOTD a few weeks back not point out that one of his failings was that he was "slow" ?
