Incidentally, I know the market's a bit stagnant, but for a player capable of scoring 10 a season from midfield, not to mention the fact that he's a free kick and pen specialist - doesn't £2.5m strike you as being a little cheap?

i can just see it now. man united and liverpool level on points on the last day of the season. charlton at old trafford and it's 0-0. danny murphy free kick makes it 1-0. liverpool win the league!
