He wants to move, and he won't lack candidates to sign him up. He's in a lower class compared to Torres but at his standard, he'd be much more prolific than our strikers have been this season -- bar Torres.

Soldado is a player that would be a key player in a mid-top team, the likes of Newcastle, and a good secondary for a top club like this.

I'm quite sure he'll move in this transfer window.

From what ive seen of him though Sabre i think hed fit in nice as a second striker with Torres . Someone from Liverpool made an inquiry. Just an inquiry thats all :D

I have been told he wants to go to Portugal but you never know if the right offer came in and he could be persuaded to come to the prem id be happy with him in our team :nod

All this talk of us being interested in signing players, makes me wonder.
Have we got the money, and if so are the Yanks prepares to let Rafa spend it ?

No mate, thats why we are rumoured to be interested in Ronaldo. He costs nothing and we arn't too upset if he goes elsewhere.

he's as bad as kewell or the inter fans would tell ya , he's a injury prone player but like kewell he's fantastic , wouldn't take him though , his wage bill and his age would just be unacceptable , plus he might not adapt

iverpool’s Benitez Hints No More January Signings
Submitted by Niraj Prabhu on Fri, 2008-01-11 16:07.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has suggested there could be no more signings in the ongoing transfer window and expressed confidence Javier Mascherano will stay at Anfield for long term.

The Reds today completed the signing of Slovakian international central defender Martin Skrtel, who was apparently the top target for Benitez as the Spaniard aimed at bolstering his side’s defence on priority.

Benitez said on the club’s official website: "We are happy with the squad. We needed another centre-back but in the other positions we have enough players."

On Argentina international Mascherano, whose initial 18-month loan deal expires in the summer, Benitez added: "We will continue to keep working and we are confident he will stay with us."

I guess thats bad news, we still need a striker.

I think Benitez will wait till the end of the season to get another striker.

Let's just wait and see what unfolds over the next 19 days...I think we could well have a wee surprise in the offing!

Just a hunch.

Need another striker??? we have a perfectly good striker in babel not being used up front at the moment!  :Oo:

Wishful thinking on Radio Marca's front, methinks...

http://football-corner.blogspot.com/2008....to.html

Real Madrid are preparing a January bid for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva according to Radio Marca.

Lucas has impressed during his rare appearances for the Merseyside club but has failed to nail down a first team place at Anfield and Madrid are prepared to offer the player more first team football at the Santiago Bernabeau.

Leiva joined the club from Brazilian club Gremio for a believed to be in the region of £8 million and the 21-year old has drawn some high praise from fans and pundits across Europe.

It would be a real shame to see Lucas leave the Premier League so soon after joining the Reds because he has to ability to become a top player in the Premier League. I just hope this is speculation but you know what they say, there's no smoke without fire.

No chance f*ck off Madrid.

Good too see the young lad getting the recognition he deserves. A potential super star for the future. An eventual replacement for Stevie G when he's finished. I think we'll see him play a bit more in the 2nd half of the season.
