Also as far as the Heinze deal is concerned, is it worth losing Xabi to not only get a player we desperately want/need but also to see the look on Fergies face I think that could well push the silly old sod over the edge.

We lose a midfielder to obtain a deffender and a second striker with out having to spend a penny.

Theres no chance i would let Xabi go to get Heinze,

But Rushie makes an exellent point in his post about if Rafa is pushed out then maybe Xabi will go , But ill be gutted

Wait though Destro i think he will end up here anyway without them gettin there hands on any of our players :nod

I wouldn't be to happy with it either Nanny, but I just have a funny feeling that G and H would prefer that we sell/swap to buy, and a two for one offer could well be something they would like to happen ( anything to save money).

What makes you think Heinze may end up at Liverpool anyway ? Do you know something we don't :;):

Rafa has said that we wont be selling any first team so I guess by discussing the sale of Xabi, Momo, Crouch and Uncle Albert we´re all saying that we dont believe Rafa. Is that right? Oops....

I doubt this is gonna happen.
It isnt realistic, but what about....

Buying berbatov?
It makes perfect sense- we need a strong, forcefful attacker to partner torres, someone who can score goals and work for the team. He's perfect.

+If we move quickly, he may just be available at a cut price fee, Tottenham know he doesn't want to play for them.

Momo is not going anywhere. Don't you notice how Rafa has persisted in him for years. Rafa still belives he has something to offer, despite his lack of form.

Liverpool are prepared to consider the sale of Xabi Alonso.

Xabi is a target for Barcelona and the Mirror says the Reds could be willing to listen to offers, especially if it provides the funds to help keep Javier Mascherano at Anfield.

And Nanny sorry to say this , but i think if it came down to a point where we have to sell alonso to finance the deal for mascherano i would take it
