Hey Sabre can you please tell me what it says in this article.  It mentions Vicente and Joaquin, those are the two players that I would really love to see at Liverpool.

Well, el Mundo Deportivo is the most similar thing to a english tabloid when it comes to football.

It says, and it's true, that Angulo is the third man to be fired in Valencia, where as they echo the rumour you brought here the other day saying that Vicente, Joaquin and Baraja might follow.

Zigic's future aswell is unclear, and portuguese Manuel Fernandes have been apparently told to have more commitment to the club if he wants to stay.

The article also reports how Cañizares and Albelda have trained separated from the group in Paterna.

Toldrá, Albelda's agent has told that the cleansing that is being done in Valencia and the way the players are being fired is "a bit strange" at the least. Apparently Albelda's future might be in Juande Ramo's Tottenham, where as Cañizares' future might be in United States of America.

Albelda has to leave Spain and play week in week out if he wants to play the Euro, so that's why he's linked heavily to England.

----

To be honest this is the most massive cleaning of a squad I've seen in my life. I'm 32, and I didn't expect to see Albelda crying as I have, he's the typical guy you don't expect to see crying.

Massive, massive cleansing, but IMHO those things must be done in summer, this will do more harm than good now.

BTW Rushki other newspapers also link Villa's and Silva's names to other clubs, apparently they want to leave aswell as some sort of solidarity to their team mates.

Wow thanks Sabre, if there is a major overhaul it will do a lot of harm rather than good as you said.    I feel sorry for them since I used to support them, but I guess they brought it upon themselves.  It will be interesting to see what Rafa will do about this.  If these stories are true then I wouldn't be surprised to see him bidding for some of their players.  But for now let's just wait and see.

Here the mate is saying that this Spanish thread rocks as he says his english is not that good despite having an intermediate english title. He's a Zaragoza fan and has a soft spot for Liverpool since Morientes came here.

Morientes?? Who the fecks that??  :D

well i don't really know what the fella said here but I can guess he's talking about torres' latest 2 goals against portsmouth.

Now I'm really really impressed by Torres... he has already scored 14 goals in all competitions and it's not even halfway of the season yet...

but I'm worried though whether his hard work and form will diminish in the following seasons. Because usually new players try to impress in their first season and somehow ease up the following years (I feel even Xabi Alonso is a little bit guilty of this)... what do you AM fans think about this? Will Torres be someone who will continue to work hard and keep up his form or will he decline in the following seasons?

Here, he was under a lot of pressure. Because he was supposed to win every match by his own. And his partners were totally c r a p. Anyway he worked every year with the same effort and dedication. Hes a hard worker
Now, he wants to be a real star player, and thinks he already has the chance to do it . All he has to do is to earn exp & self-confidence to polish up his skills and make better profit of his appareances, like today.

Aint got no doubts he will be

I'm just an external viewer and you have better insight about your team than I have, but I slightly disagree Torres' partners were all that cráp. Meaning, you had more often than not a much better squad than the likes of Real Sociedad, Bilbao, Zaragoza.

FFS, the Atletico Madrid that was relegated to segunda was a super squad. A super squad underperforming. I don't think men like Petrov were cráp players, or that other Danish you used to have, or Maniche the portuguese for that matter. What Atletico needed is what they have done this year: leave a coach working. Too many coaches were sácked and no project was allowed to have a minimum continuity.

This year your board have allowed Aguirre to keep developing your team, and even with the loss of Torres you're performing better, because football is not often about names but also about building up a squad and working with it.

I was born in 1975, and that means I consider Atletico the third team of Spain. It still is the third team of Spain in terms of support, and you'll become a Champions League regular if only you let work a capable man like Aguirre working on the club for 3 or 4 years.

a few comments
shame you do not understand Spanish as I totally agree with Spanishliverpool on his views on Valencia players. Lucky enough, Sabre does think the same thing ...
In relation to maguskwt's comments, I think I said so in my first post: you may be wrong in expecting Torres to score every single opportunity he has, or to perfectly control every single ball he receives: he has his "phases" and he may miss a few clear opportunities in a row, you should be ready for this (although he is proving me wrong so far). However, what you just should not have any doubts about is his working capacity and compromise. I think I have seen nearly 90% of Torres' matches so far (including Atlético, LFC and Spain) and if I had to underline one of his qualities it would be hard work. Please do not have a single doubt about that.
In relation to what Sabre said, I think one thing is "theoretically" talking about the players playing with Torres in the last season and a very different one is to have actually seen all of them in most games. Except for Maxi Rodríguez a couple of years ago and some minor exceptions, Torres has been totally alone in most games. Petrov could be good or bad, but his only full season in Madrid was a disaster except for the first four or five games. It is very different to receive balls while facing the goal, as happens in LFC, than having to run all the way to your own defense to pick the ball and run all the way back to the rival´s goal, as normally happened so far. The other alternative while in Atlético was having to wait for a not particularly good pass from your midfielders while standing with the goal at his back, where he is not so strong, ... this is especially worriying when the passers are Luccin, Galletti, Pato Sosa, Jurado, Colsa, Gabii or the like.

I think its saying that we have to pay out an extra 250k euro's because Torres has scored 15 goals. I just hope we end up paying another 250k out before the end of the season :D

Maybe Sabre could confirm it?

Yes it does say that. It's a normal thing in nowadays contracts, Liverpool was paying money for Alonso even last year for reaching CL final.

According to the article, for every block of 15 goals during his 6 year contract, Liverpool will pay 250K €, and there are other incentives aswell. Just like you I hope Liverpool have to pay many blocks like this. :)
