it would be interesting to see how he performs, now he is under 'pressure' and has it all to prove to benitez.

i certainly wouldnt play him at the back, but in midfield

if he proves me wrong i will eat my hat, but the signs are, he aint gonna miss the chop

I can't believe people are being suckered into believing Biscan deserves another chance on the basis of a couple of decent games in the Pre Season friendlies ???

I wouldn't care so much if the position he is wanting to be given a chance in wasn't so important !!!!!  I've said it before but it's worth saying again , good players perform in several positions. Look at Stevie , he played right Back for a while and was superb there in 2001/02.

Giving him a chance is too risky cos by the time he's opened all your eyes to the reality that he is NOT good enough we wil have lost 3 games and be out of the title race......

Compare Arsenal and Chelsea's Midfield , even United with old timers Keane and Giggs and then consider putting Biscan up against them . you need your head's testing !!!!!! :O

I think it highlights the fact we need added depth in midfield, I think we should keep Igor as back up or whatever but if we are starting him, it signifys too me we lack a lot of depth.

I appreciate we don't have back up in midfiled Scott but it's wishful thinking on fans minds rather than common sense to believe theat biscan can compete at this level.

Remember I have to watch this guy and he is VERY poor in terms of ability and most of the time looks scared and way in over his head. I can honestly say i've never seen him have a good game !!!

I'm not a Boo Boy and don't like getting on any LFC players back but I think the sun has got to peoples heads here if they seriously believe putting Biscan in the middle of the park is going to strengthen our team !!! ???

yep I agree, I would play Hamann before him anyway, and we could od with another CM, I think the current sqaud is strongish and hopefully Rafa can pull them together and challenge for the title.

Ideally some new faces will come in b4 the start of the season, but if they don't we will have to make do with what we have. Remeber, Benitez did it with Valencia against much more fancied teams like Real Madrid , Barcelona and probably Deportivo at the time. Let's hop he can do th same with us.

Roll on the new season.  :)  :)

I heard today that to play in the QUALIFIERS of the CL, clubs need to have signed players by tomorrow BUt in order to play in the group stages players need only be signed by Sept 1st :D

Good news for us cos we should get through the qaulifiers with what we have at present but to compete in the group stages we do need 2 quality midfielders, preferably Ballack and Riosicsky for me :D

As for Back up I'd sooner see Dudek in midfield than Biscuit :p

yeh that september 1st deadline is good, but I think we should be foxusing on the PL, If we make the quarters of the CL or something, it's just an added bonus.

Biscan is not the very best for our 1st team.

But I am sure he will prove some of us wrong when he is played by Benitez.

Biscan is a player who is so willing to make Benitez and LFC successful, so I prefer to have these kinda of players. Players who are more willing to win and win an win.

I am not naming names but I still see some players during the friendlies giving half hearted efforts in their game.

If Dudek in midfield than Biscan, than Traore than Owen... :p

i answered this point by saying that its not in a players contract to be able to ply well in different positions. stevie dun so well in other positions but thats cos he's a bos player. if he was put centre back he also would look sh**, and would then lose confidence, and look as lost as biscan did.

its so obvious now that while he's playin in his preferred role he looks good. why cant you see this? why do you continually judge him on centre back performances when his confidence was also destroyed. he shouldnt have to be good "in other positions" to mertit his place in the squad/team benitez even said this.he told him not to consider himself a centre half.

its not people gettin carried away on a couple of pre-season games at all. its people seein that he is a centre mid not a centre back.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

Sometimes you can really see greenhorn inexperience dripping from these forums!  :D

Pre-season warm ups mean very little. We have had players working wonders in pre-season before, only to be poor once again in the Premiership.

Mark Kennedy was absolutely fantastic for us one summer six or seven years ago in pre-season and Roy Evans was raving what a great player he was turning into. Look what happened him!

Like all the players Igor Biscan deserves another chance, but he and many others must be in the last chance saloon now. At least one Liverpool player will surprise everyone next season by improving dramatically under Benitez, and it could be Biscan, but I reckon a safer bet would be Riise or Murphy.
